Do you keep the boxes for the pops you display OOB or toss them?

At first I was in box only but over the years I am more out of box than ever. They look so good and have details that can be missed being trapped in the box. I take each of my pops out at least once but mostly they sit on the shelf oob!

The majority of my collection stays in box, but some stuff just looks better displayed oob! Especially the larger or more deluxe stuff, or the ones that form a set together.

Common ones that are easily attainable, I take out of the box and display them in my office. Rare ones that fairly limited or special, I keep in the box in a pop protector and display in my house.

I’m exclusively in box. Much easier to stack and increase density. Too many Pops!

I do both. Most are in box, but I do find some of the mold look too cool to be stuck in their box. The One Piece Luffy Gear 4th looks the best OOB.

Box, but I also get two (one to stock, one to rock)

Also during Halloween/día de Los muertos/holidays I use pops as decoration

I am both in box and out of box. Some pops are just too awesome to not see it out and about or if I have a second one, I will take one out if I have space to display. Speaking of space, that’s actually the main reason I keep a lot in box currently. It’s easier to have them stacked up neatly above my display cases which I wouldn’t be able to display as much on top without display stairs PLUS the amount of dust to deal with would be insane lol

So I would say depend on what your space situation and preference is, then decide to do in box or out of box or like me, hybrid ;-)

In box for me. Its easier to dust the boxes than the characters themselves. That is the only reason.

I used to be strictly in box. But since I’ve started displaying all my toys I’m a good mix of both. There’s just so many that you can’t appreciate without opening them out of their plastic!!

It’s a mix of both for me. I appreciate the uniformity of in box, but when you have too many toys and collectibles, the volume of the packaging becomes more of a barrier, limiting how much can be displayed.

Like others, I have my pops displayed OOB and in box. I display those Pops that I am a big fan of like Iron Man.

In the early days before there were many releases, I used to buy one to keep in the box and one to display OOB. That has been a practice I have long abandoned. LOL

Half and half here. Like PopCollector, I'm a huge Iron Man fan (as if my handle didn't give that away) so I have a whole curio dedicated to my Iron Man Funko pieces. Whether they be Pops, Pop Movie Moments, Dorbz, Wobblers, Funko Force, Nodniks... They occupy the entire thing!

There's no right or wrong way to do it, collect the way you like and display that collection the way you like!

I like a mix of both but any pop I take out I keep the box in a bin so whenever I wanna switch my shelves around I can.

i actually go back and forth on this with my collection...sometimes i'll open everything up and then months later i'll box those same pops up and display in box. if i had a "trend" it would probably be that i prefer my freddy's oob.

I have almost all my collection in box. I do take every pop I get out of box when I get it to admire details and for photo a day challenges. When I moved into my "Funko Room" I took my 10" pops, moments, rides, and 6" ones OOB. I was gonna take more stuff OOB, and I started with the Splash Mountain 3 pack. Then they all fell off my shelf and broke :( so this is why I stopped. But sodas and everything I'm comfortable with removing isnt in their boxes.

Almost all of our POP! collection is in-box. The only exception I made to that is our holiday/Christmas POPs, which are all out-of-box and get displayed during that time of the year. There's some other out-of-box ones but it's a mix (Moana, Elvis Stitch, and a few anime, just to name a few) since they mostly had damaged boxes or got them out-of-box for free.
