Fundays 2023 Freddy Wishlist

After the release of this most recent Freddys, my mind is still blown away.

My wishlist is:
Freddy Funko as John Wick
Freddy Funko as Hulk
Freddy Funko as Vegeta
Freddy Funko as Human Torch
Freddy Funko as Stormtrooper
Freddy Funko as Captain America
Freddy Funko as Black Panther
Feddy Funko as Red, Black, Yellow or Green Lantern

I called Squid Game Freddy's for Fundays 2022 and that turned out to be accurate! For 2023, I predict we'll see a Friday the 13th/Jason Voorhees Freddy (don't think that's been done yet??), and also a Top Gun/Maverick Freddy! Let's go!!

Yeah squid game was pretty likely to happen with how popular the show was. I called Danny Phantom.

Jason could happen, but an actual Maverick can't happen since Tom Cruise doesn't let anyone use his image, could be a general pilot though.

I have only been to 1 fundays but I don't think it would be possible to do it with 8,000 people. Handing out prizes to 2000 was doable but I couldn't imagine quadruple that. I agree with your opinion, thank you for sharing!

I don't think they will scale up to 8k next year, I'd guess 4k. They will probably just do prize patrol less often and hand out most of the things at the start.

Yeah, 4k would be a good number and I could see it going that way in terms of giving things out. Great point!

Yeah it can't be called maverick although it could look extremely close to it and just call it Freddy as pilot. They did a lot of those for the 2018 Fundays Freddy's, most notable is the Freddy as Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber although they aren't called that, it's just Freddy in tuxedo.

They really did such a great job on the Freddys this year, I'm not sure how they'll top it next year. But they always do, and I look forward to seeing what they come up with! Hopefully we are giving them some great ideas, we can't make them do all the work!

I'm bracing myself for next year haha I'm not ready for what they have in store for us! The Marvel Freddy's were fire this year! Ahh! Haha

On a related note -- and I am going to try and do this as sensitively and delicately as possible -- I am not nearly as curious about next year's change of venue and count of attendees as much as I am about the event's host. It sort of felt like a sending off for Mike & Brian this year at Fundays after they intro'd the new CEO on stage. Did I totally read into that incorrectly? I'll be honest...when they intro'd Andrew Perlmutter (TBH I'm sure he's a super nice guy...) he just sort of lacked that "it" quality and charisma that Mike & Brian effortlessly possess. That infectious, energetic, genuine excitement from those two are what really made Fundays tick...if it was indeed their final show as hosts, I do have a level of concern about that aspect, going forward.

I know what you are saying and totally respect it and personally not offended at all if anyone cares . And honestly from my standpoint there is no reason to fret or think about anything that is not in our hands. Until we feel like we have to make it in our hands .

I feel like Fundays is Mike's baby. I can't imagine him not being at every Fundays and hosting in some sort of way as long a he is alive. I could see Brian maybe coming in and being maybe most excited about just doing the reveals and the beginning I dunno. I don't know anything about the new person. Maybe he was nervous or more an introvert. What I do know is that as he was walking off the stage he just gave the demo skateboard he was holding and showing everyone in the presentation to someone in the crowd. That was a REALLY good impression to me at least.

Haha. I'll definitely get some pics of the crew together. I am keeping all the 4" pops in-box (except for the less expensive ones that I got dupes solely for display). The 10" are living OOB and in an IKEA display cabinet (so... a glass box. ).

Ooh, good call on the 10” in a display. Giving me thoughts. I still have my Unicron in his box but planned on having him out of the box in back background on the shelf for Zoom calls! (Along with other collectibles, hahahaha!)

Yes! And let’s not forget the even more limited metallic version. Then the even MORE limited GITD version. I’m about to pop off a Freddy head and add it to the Amazon 6” widely available.

The nft TMNT Freddy wasn't as a specific turtle. They also already made all the Freddy as turtles in 2014
