Ever bought a Pop! you already own?

I’ve certainly been gifted a pop I already own. But it allowed me to display one out of box !!

Ugh, not only did I just do this, but after having bought the pop TWICE, I still didn't realize I had it and was looking everywhere for one to buy! Was all disappointed that I couldn't find one in store in December, then was sorting through the mountain of pop boxes in my living room and found the very pop I'd been looking for! Then unboxing, and found the other pop. I'm too young for my memory to be failing me this badly!

So when are you getting a 4th!

Well, it would be a third, since I couldn't find one to buy in store, thank goodness. I think this pop will stick in my memory now, since I'm so annoyed with myself over it! I have a possible home for it, as a local friend was also looking for the same pop - just hoping they didn't also buy multiples without telling me about it!

I got a funny one for ya! I almost purchased an expensive grail that I already owned.

Congrats though on it being an almost, rather than an oops! Grails are usually way too expensive to do this with!

I am not sure if I ever did, but my friend collected every major MCU character for the whole Infinity saga, and would definitely forget what he had whenever we saw a good sale in a store... he bough several duplicates.

Lol twice ... I didnt realize I already had them ... and bought another one smh ... periodically I go through my whole collection dusting etc and realized I had 2 of both of those pops .. I guess I really liked them haha

When I first got into Pops it was because of Steven Universe. I bought like 4 Pearl pops because they were on clearance at Hot Topic. I ended up giving them to friends.

Otherwise the only other time is getting a pop I already have in a mystery box.

I took one of my duplicates to an event today to give to another funatic who I know was looking for the same pop - and she didn't show! I'd really like to get it out of my house, every time I see it I feel ridiculous for buying it twice!

Oh no, it wasn't even a guarantee that she'd be there, I was just hoping to get it out of the house. I'll get her at the next event, she had no idea I was coming or bringing her a pop. When I tell her this funny story though, I bet you anything she'll be profusely apologetic for something she had no idea about!

The app only helps if you're caught up on logging all the new stuff....which I am most decidedly not, at the moment!

Usually when I preorder or order something a long time ago, then when it comes out in hand I notice it again and forget that I preordered it (and therefore didn't log it into the app, since I technically don't have it yet).

I've had that problem, where the app just doesn't predict that I will own something. They really need to work on that for us in the next update!

I keep track of my collection on an excel file because I like to keep track how much I spent for a specific grail. Once in a blue moon, I’d buy duplicates because it was cheaper than what I originally bought it for. It’s for “averaging down” purpose. XD

I've done that a few times. I'm so sure I don't have a certain Pop, I buy it, and I find out later that I already own it. Definitely a "Doh!" moment!
