I was so stoked when I found the Porg chase, and I actually ended up trading it for the Walgreens General Grievous. In retrospect, I definitely won that trade lol

I agree. The quality of the pops in the Lootcrate weren’t great either

Even though they were probably some of the lowest numbers, I know handfuls of people that started collecting because of them. The ROI was probably pretty good.

I guess but it wasn’t the reason why I starting collecting. As a matter of fact I had no clue that Funko worked them until after the fact.

Heavily dependent on when you started collecting. I had a few figures for Attack on Titan and then got 3 in various Loot Crates in ~2014-2015 and that streamlined my addiction.

The Lootcrate Han Solo from The Force Awakens definitely fed my early addiction. It's still one of my favorite Han Solo Pops, too.

Either Olaf or Valerian, but based on the Galactic Mystery Boxes, it would be the monster cereal boxes with arms and legs.

I think it did just ok. I think the main issues with VYNL were that they were two figures and therefore were more expensive than a pop as well as the retail support just wasn’t there. I think only Target carried the line. It was a shame because I really liked VYNL a lot.

Facts. When I walk into Walgreens I don’t even bother to look for Funko pops anymore. 5 years ago, this wasn’t the case.

Some of the designs were really neat. Maybe you're right and the retail just wasn't supportive, because I can't see how VYNL fails where Soda Pop succeeds...
