NYCC 2022 POPS

I have three in the city and the Manhattan apt I just bought is a three bedroom. At this point I'm just gonna have to downsize or grow up, but I don't want to bc I'm a Toys r' Us kid

Yes, I mean, except for Fundays, I only buy what I personally, or what my kids (they are adults) want, and I can't get rid of any of them I wouldn't have bought them if I didn't want them. So I don't know how I could downsize, and as I mentioned, I have adult kids, so growing up, if it hasn't happened by now, its not going to happen, only choice, save (lots) money to buy larger place.

VIP NYCC tickets? I was debating getting them - are they worth it?

I've never had them before, so I'll find out. My friends that have had the before swear by them. I'll appreciate not having to wait in the massive cattle call. And having a coat check and private lounge will be clutch.

VIP doesn’t help you get a better pick for the lottery. It’s just gives you the benefits of entering the con earlier, lounge area, premium seating for panels.

I thought it gave you 2 entries for any con exclusives (so entries in the lottery). Either way, I'm going to take full advantage of whatever benefits seeing as how we paid a pretty penny for it.

I second that!!! Always love a good hold where we get surprised with a release at a convention that I attend.

I'd say not having to wait in the cattle call, that right there makes it worth it.

I wish they would clarify... when i read it, it made it sound as if we were guaranteed 2 lottery wins... but reading it here, makes it sound like you just have 2 entries instead of 1....

Hoping NYCC '22 will have some bangers as well. SDCC had much to be desired in regards to exclusives for sure, I was hoping for more as it was the first SDCC since covid.

It'll be a first time for me, so I hope that's how I feel about it. The VIP when I went to MegaCon was a next-level upgrade. Never had something like that before and will absolutely do it again if I opt to do that con again.

I'm excited to be getting in early and skipping the cattle call. I've always just gone super early and managed to get in the front of the first queue. I didn't like dealing with it, but if I'm traveling all the way up there, I'm getting my money's worth!

After several years of not getting to buy anything from the Funko booth I actually got in this year. Wasn't much that was had to have but I was able to help out a few people with things they wanted. I also think I bought more than I should have just because the excitement of actually being able to buy some things. I really wanted Funday's tickets but wasn't lucky enough to get them. And there was fire Pops and soda that came from there. Maybe next year will be better. But as a lot of people running out of room. Well ran out of room a while ago just keep shifting stuff around

SDCC is the only con with a known preview night. unless nycc drops a surprise on everyone, i wouldn't expect for one to take place.

Could be coincidence. It's almost like they were not expecting the big conventions to get up an rolling so fast. All year, I keep thinking how can these companies not be ready as they have had 3 years to prepare. Maybe, they just thought going into this year that no one would want to attend any of these conventions.

The theory on smaller releases may be true but the quality of the releases does not appear to be on par yet alone better. Not to mention the fact that they are still having shipment issues to each con...

I agree. And that can mean a good thing for me. Less spending and saving up for SDCC pre reg. But I do hope something f good for me at NYCC
