Why did I just buy this 6" pop!?

I had been so good lately, and I was avoiding all the 6" pops! that have been released the last year or two....

I am not saying there is anything wrong with the 6" category. My issue is the same most of us have - they take up so much more space on the shelf!

But I could not help it - this Darth Maul from Gamestop is irresistible to me - I find it hard to resist Maul in almost any form.

I think maybe he is gonna have to come out of the box - will look so much better - and it takes up less space that way....


How do you all handle 6" pops! in your collection?

how do i handle 6" pops? easy. by avoiding them jk i have a few of them but i do try to be super selective.

Well the pop on the stand is a 4" pop. So it just has an added base, right? I have Palpatine and I took him out of the box. This Maul is super nice! Might want to take him out and display

Yes, you are correct. It is a standard looking 4" pop with a big fat base!

I think I will take it out of the box as well....It just looks too good to keep behind all of that shiny plastic....

With all the details OOB display is best with the 6” Pop, deluxe, moments or rides. Last 6” pop I bought was a YOUNG-HEE DOLL - SQUID GAME.

I bought the Deluxe set of the Star Wars Bounty Hunter line. I was kicking myself halfway through because the boxes take up so much more space. I really don't think the Pop!s are bigger either, so not sure why they couldn't use a smaller box.

I’ve always disliked them but then the life size baby groot came out and I had to have it. Then Megazord, then Dragonzord, oh and Mag the Mighty showed up somewhere in all of this

How do you all handle 6" pops! in your collection?

My partner and I are mostly in-box collectors so the larger POPs (Rides, 6", Towns) are all in soft protectors and mostly have a dedicated area on the tops of our shelves while the standard-sized POPs take up most of the remaining space. We used to have some 10" POPs, mostly the Gen 1 Pokemon starters and displayed them out-of-box... but it got to a point where some sacrifices had to be made to make more space on the shelf.

It's a nice set, but yeah those bases do take up a bit more room. I haven't picked all of those up yet due to that.

I really like the 6 inch Pops. I think they're a perfect size and slow for much more detailed designs. One of my favorites is glow Balrog from Lord of the Rings.

I struggle with the 10 inch Pops because they are truly huge and take up so much more space and don't easily fit in my shelves.

I have a good amount of 6 inch pops and yeah they take up more room, but often it's the only way to get the character I want, so not much of a choice. I'd much prefer all pops were the same size, but alas, that is not the case.
I also have 3 10 inchers, and I am quite happy they don't make characters I "have" to have in that size too often, talk about a space hog, haha!

Also, I am 99.5% OOB...although sometimes with the pops that lean, fall, bend or have wonky feet and still mess up after a fix attempt, I do wish I kept them in box. Meh.

If it’s a main line character that we collect, I don’t mind 6” inch pops at all. It’s the 10” inch pops I have a problem with due to space.
