Anybody else think they’re overdoing it on Freddy lately?

So many now to try and keep up!

With them being more accessible now and every two weeks it seems, refill that account more often. Bit easier though, but we also have that wait time to get them delivered.

Hardest thing is deciding which ones I actually need LOL!

We really did get a lot this year, but most were amazing, so I’m definitely torn on the subject like many commenting on here. Maybe 50% of this years total would suffice.

I don't know about overdoing Freddy Funko, but there are not as many versions of Freddy coming out that I actually like and want to add in my collection. In my box of fun I only kept the mascot I chose

100% agree. I feel for the Freddy completists out there but it’s nice to see a good variety of Freddy’s out there that appeal to different fandoms. It’s also nice that there are other ways to get a Freddy lately.

I like the Boxes of Fun, but I’m only interested in the pop culture Freddies. During Funkon they went a little hard on the art series and Freddy as an occupation or type of person. I thought the Fright Night molds were pretty cool even if some of them weren’t modeled after a specific character.

The OG Fundays Freddies were popular because they were limited and “I was there” pops. I hope they don’t mistake that hype with something that would commonly sell on a mass scale though. They did that with the line of GameStop Conan O’Briens.

Agreed! I just worry that too many generic unlicensed freddies will give off the beanie babies vibe, I looovvvvvveeee the licensed freddies though!

I love freddy & he recently became my most collected line ! I think they’re definitely using him more than I thought they would , but I like it! Some do seem like they just put freddy and whatever pop they found sitting around in a blender though

I like the idea of keeping Freddy as lisenced characters (Freddy as Thor, Freddy as Space Ghost, etc.) more limited for things like the Box of Fun, Fundays, NFT royalty sets and having more standard Freddy POP!s (Tourist Freddy, Hollywood Freddy, Skater Freddy, etc.) a little more readily available like at HQ, Hollywood store, or Funko Shop exclusives.

In other words, it takes a collector with specific interest in them and the particular line the Freddy is, which sadly not as many in my immediate area.

I have alot more Freddys in the last 2 or 3 years since the first online Funbox and others that followed. Since I never make it to the big events I'm happy to know I have a chance at some even if they aren't exactly the same as what the events have. I don't really know hpw I feel about the quantity but it has made some easier to get at decent prices.

I love Freddy’s and can’t get enough of them! That being said, I can relate with the feeling of “overdoing it” but only when it comes to, what I would say are, basic designs. Baseball Freddy for example as a recent release, it may have been better off in actual mlb team uniforms to possibly get more of a regional fan base vs a generic uniform. Even though it was limited, I don’t think it hit many fans interests.

It'd be cool to see him with his pet, Proto! I love that Proto is getting the spotlight now. I hope we get more Freddy and Proto together as POP! figures in the future!
