Anybody else think they’re overdoing it on Freddy lately?

I’m usually in the minority here on opinions, but am I the only one who thinks them taking Freddy from being a yearly offering that gets maybe a couple hundred pieces and turning him into a bi-monthly drop of thousands is really diminishing his appeal? Wanting a Freddy collection was my top priority when I first learned about him and Fundays, but now what was once such a special epic thing is starting to feel so mundane, which is sad and kind of how I’ve been feeling about collecting Funko in general. I dunno, maybe it’s the announcement of yet another NFT drop meaning a couple thousand new Freddys are destined for this world, but it just got me thinking , and I know how much you all hate me thinking so I’ll end it there.

I think they are doing a lot but honestly they have made some really awesome ones too. It’s nice to see more characters made into Freddy’s in different ways. I still hope i can make it to fundays this year after missing last year.

Nope. Feed me more Freddy's and less other basic bricks. Prefer collecting the Freddy's over most the lines they have coming out.

Agreed, I think this has also gotten a lot of newer fans into collecting Freddys by making them more accessible. I still think they should make limited ones to keep collecting fun and have grail Freddys out there.[/quote

Yeah I don't think this line sold well, so they moved on. They are beholden to their stock holders now.

I almost let the 1 of 24 Bloody Freddy Daryl go a couple years back but felt the offer was a lowball. Glad I kept him because now he's got his very own WD show!

I have been rearranging one of my bookshelves to mainly be a Freddy shelf (stole the bookshelf idea from Top Pops) and I have nearly 100 of Freddy now. I still don't think that Funko is overdoing it, but maybe I am overdoing it personally

That's one way to look at it. I'd like to think that as long as you're collecting what you like then hopefully you yourself aren't overdoing it.

I used to connect Freddys with Fundays and LE. Then conventions. Then special events.

I kind of miss that to be honest regardless of how cool new ones are. To each their own. Maybe a compromise in my head would be keep the Freddy pops LE and special event. And then go crazy with any Freddy sodas you want to make. Anyway.
