personally, I don't think they're overdoing the Freddys at the moment. For a while they had weekly freddy drops in the shop. So the handfulls we're getting lately doesn't seem over done at all to me.

Especially when I'm a Freddy fan.

I’m usually in the minority here on opinions, but am I the only one who thinks them taking Freddy from being a yearly offering that gets maybe a couple hundred pieces and turning him into a bi-monthly drop of thousands is really diminishing his appeal? Wanting a Freddy collection was my top priority when I first learned about him and Fundays, but now what was once such a special epic thing is starting to feel so mundane, which is sad and kind of how I’ve been feeling about collecting Funko in general. I dunno, maybe it’s the announcement of yet another NFT drop meaning a couple thousand new Freddys are destined for this world, but it just got me thinking , and I know how much you all hate me thinking so I’ll end it there.

I love Freddys but I was just discussing this with a buddy. To be honest I love getting my hands on the Freddys but loved it when they were harder to get. Almost felt like a reward to get one. You used to have to attend Fundays or get lucky at a convention versus being able to buy one every other week.

Idk, a lot of the new brand/character pops haven’t spoken to me lately — I find myself more excited about the Freddys than the 7000th Harry Potter Pop! (And I love to HP Universe!)

Yeah I agree with this, freddy should be the reward not a normal pop you get. Like social media freddy still is.

I agree, really slow the Freddy’s down. I love Freddy as much as the next collector. But he was, is the holy grail of pops to own. The exclusivity was the main point of Fundays. I love Funko!

I definitely agree that it's going a little crazy. Here are some stats from the past year...

Fundays - 34
Fright Night - 33
NFT (going back to last year) - 27

Almost 100 new Freddy's in a year is pretty nuts.

Inserting numbers... It's just a shame they do so many variants of the same mold...I'm personally fine with the nft royal sets, it's kind of fun way for the Freddy tie in to those sets

I see Funko totally makes a 100% profit if they sell just Freddy and his variants. If it’s Freddy as an IP character then Funko has to maybe share royalties with the company. So that’s probably why we are seeing more Freddy Funko and Proto the dog pops.

Dear Funko: Send more Freddies, please!

In seriousness though, the more that are made, the less compelled to be a completionist I become, and instead can focus on scooping my favorite molds, colors, variants, etc.

Plus the secondary market can be a little less crazy so some items can be easier to get.
