Anybody else think they’re overdoing it on Freddy lately?

Nope. I think it's actually nice to be able to get freddy's that are not event only pops.

With them being more accessible now and every two weeks it seems, refill that account more often. Bit easier though, but we also have that wait time to get them delivered.

Hardest thing is deciding which ones I actually need LOL!

May I ask why it’s tough? I mean— I see it as this; if it really strikes your fancy. By all means. Have fun. Try to obtain it. But older pieces are so much rare and just merely impossible to obtain.

But I do feel this “tough questions” indeed.

I like the Boxes of Fun, but I’m only interested in the pop culture Freddies. During Funkon they went a little hard on the art series and Freddy as an occupation or type of person. I thought the Fright Night molds were pretty cool even if some of them weren’t modeled after a specific character.

The OG Fundays Freddies were popular because they were limited and “I was there” pops. I hope they don’t mistake that hype with something that would commonly sell on a mass scale though. They did that with the line of GameStop Conan O’Briens.

I think now with the soda line freddy’s it opened up so many more possibilities to push more freddys out at events so it frees up some freddy pop molds for other things like nft

While I do like that you can get them outside of events, as we all can’t go to every single event. That is what made them special from the start and that has somewhat gone away.

I do love the few Freddy Pops! that I was fortunate enough to get last year at my first Fundays. I do agree that some of the appeal has gone away just from the sheer number that gets put out. I don’t buy some of the boxes just because I know of the numbers they release

i don't think so... it's being given on different platforms.. different variants and rarity... all types of collectors which is a good strategy as well

That is a valid point too. There should definitely be some kind of variety to freddies to maybe make the event ones more special. Prob the easy way would be more limited but that wont make everyone happy.

I think it's still relatively small compare to other sets. It's no different than how many One Piece, or other Anime pops are flooding the market now. As long as the pop isn't just a head swap, I think it's fine... it's still relatively easy (but costly) to complete.

Bingo. Freddy's shouldn't be in-person event exclusive items, so I'm glad their expanding the Freddy line so everyone is able to add them to their collection.

Freddy used to be Fundays. But maybe with the venue change (and subsequent changes to the party) Freddy will no longer be only associated with Fundays only. So these wider releases are just the norm now.

it's hard to find a balance of releasing special freddy's at events vs general release. but because freddy is the mascot, it's important to keep some level of exclusivity to the line without alienating the general collector base. with that said, keep making more hahah.

Ngl the fact that every freddy is limited actually makes the freddy really fun. It’s cool that freddy enter into all these worlds - if he ever has his own cartoon it’s gonna be dope - especially if he can enter into all the diff universes - kinda gives me kingdom hearts vibes

Not at all. Since this is the official mascot it makes sense to keep bringing new designs and I'm glad there are LE and exclusive while also common ones to sort of balance it out

My opinion exactly! For the first couple of years I was collecting, it was impossible for me to get any Freddy Pops except for the one you got when you joined the FunKlub. I love being able to get as many Freddys as I can.

Fundays - 34
Fright Night - 33
NFT (going back to last year) - 27

Almost 100 new Freddy's in a year is pretty nuts.

Yeah, they’re ramping up the different Freddy pops they put out but I’d say they’re all generally limited still. Is it a few hundred pieces no, but neither are their con or shop exclusives anymore. Rarity is just about lost with Funko now as most cons have a couple with piece counts and they’ve been 1000+ for a while. As long as they’re making new Freddys and they make sense, I’m all for it!
