I think it's interesting. I grade a lot of sports cards and it makes sense to me.

I think with pops it makes the most sense if it's an older grail in good shape just to get it behind even better protection.

As much as it would seal it and save the pop and the box from damage, it really does seem kind of pointless. Would they grade stickers too? It's a weird concept to me.

My only frame of reference is comics and CGC. Considering how much value people put in stickers, I would think a damaged or missing sticker could affect the grading. Comics that come inserts like sticker sheets, temporary tattoos, collectible stamps, etc., are important to collectors so missing or damaged inserts have an impact on the grade.

My personal thought was anything over 500ish is probably worth it. But that’s up to you.

Yeah I get it. I should get my first 3 back soon. I’ll post here what I get and let you know if I think it’s fair. The boxes and figures were pretty minty. I’m thinking no less than 9s. I’ve seen the ones they have graded at shows and the 8s are rough. If mine come back low like that I’d say the grading will be tough to gauge.

It’s not like a coins cards or comics that have pretty standard grading across the board.

It definitely looks nice. I’m still waiting for them to ship mine back. So far 2 months time. They said the time was 60ish days. So it’s about right.

I wouldn’t grade a pop. I like removing my pops out of box to look at them and to take pictures.

a graded pop also looks strange amongst a group of ungraded pops.

It’s a great concept not going to lie but. I feel as a collector the case just takes too much space. I feel it’s worth it if it’s like a ultra grail pop or a pop that’s part of a set that has like 5 but stacking wise it’s just not it

For me I see the benefit of both pro and against each. I just think its a matter of preference and what you see as valuable use of your time n items.

Yeah I agree - baseball cards is one thing, but a cardboard box is another - plus i kinda find it funny that they really are not grading the figure - unless they do look at the paint job, but I think its really just the box.

Honestly - I don’t know if this is a good idea. A lot of people leave the Funkos in the box, and as I like to customize the pops, I have come across a lot of defects that are otherwise hidden by not opening the box. Not sure if that if out of box grading is therefore a good idea.

I'm not sure how I feel about grading pops. The box with the grading looks so bulky. If PSA had a different way to indicate the grade of the physical pop, I'd maybe consider grading a few. There will be people who will get it graded to show its authentic and to put more value into their graded pops.

PSA Graded Pops….thoughts?

In my opinion the grading of Pops should be reserved for VERY high value Pops. If I am buying 2nd hand and I have to pay an extra $20 for a Pop valued at $150 that does not seem worth it to me. Now if you're selling me a $1500 Pop $20 to verify condition is worth it.

I prefer grading for older vintage items so they maintain their integrity instead of deteriorating away.

I recently had a few of my pops graded. I was fortunate to be near an event where you could drop them off. They then shipped them to NJ for grading. It was a 3 month process, and while I thought they were all in really great condition, they came back at 8.5’s an 7’s. I like the case and they look great, but probably won’t do it again due to the costs.

Was curious on the stackability and qualit of the PSA graded cases, looks pretty good. Wondering if quality is similar to pop armors - been wanting to send in one for funsies!

They are pretty comparable in quality, however the PSAs are a bit taller, to account for the grading sticker. I do think the Armor Shields look a bit clearer for some reason. But both are very solid and do the job in protecting the POP.
