SDCC 2023 Drop News?

Do you have any predictions as to what we can expect from Funko for SDCC - what lines or pops do you expect to see?

Another awesome panel the sunday of the Con which now will have hour long lines to get into. Which will surprise which ever panel is scheduled for before the Funko one.

What do you mean by this?

SDCC and WonderCon both had Sunday panels that were relatively easy to get into and then they handed out numbered LE pops. At WonderCon, they gave out the LE Ahsoka that was originally leaked as an exclusive at SDCC’s panel, but wasn’t released (there’s a whole giant separate thread on that).

Now that seems to kind of be a trend, people are expecting there to be a Funko panel on Sunday where they give away LE exclusives for free and people will be lining up for it. Another strategy is to attend the panel that’s riiight before the Funko panel and not leave to guarantee you a seat.

Last year it was easy to get in to Hall H, but now that people know they will give away Pops, the line will be a lot worse. If they do another Sunday panel, I plan on just spending the entire day in Hall H again.

Definitely early . I'd expect early July but when the floodgates open the drops will come super fast

Fundays you need to buy tickets when they go on sale. The panel you just get in line like the rest of the attendees. It was on sunday last year and was easy to get into. It will be harder to get into this year cause they did such a great job last year.

This year I think to be safe you may want to go a couple of panels early. Doesnt matter where you sit, everyone gets the giveaways, you just need to be there for the panel.

It officially a little under 2 months until SDCC so should hopefully be coming up in the next few weeks

Panel schedules aren't officially announced until a week before con, but last year Funko's was Sunday afternoon in Hall H. They do not clear out rooms between panels at SDCC, so to guarantee that you'll have a spot you can sit through the previous panels. They do wristbands for Hall H the night before too, but then you have to go back early and can't leave. Usually Sunday didn't really require overnight wristbands since lots of people leave and travel home early, but with the possibility of giving out Funko items, I think it will be more popular! I hope it stays on Sunday because trying to get into Hall H Friday and Saturday is usually really tough and requires hours of waiting in line.

All you need to do is search for last year and the previous years for SDCC threads...it's usually about 4 to 5 weeks before the event that the info starts to come out...I believe we do need to get through this thing called SPRING before info about Summer releases come out

I've been going for 20+ years but 4 days have been so hard to get, I've gotten 2 days the past 4 years but finally lucked out this year. It means less stress trying to fit so much in one day. Hope you have a blast!

But I believe it! Been hearing friends dropping additional gas money for traveling due to weight of the car. They are statue collectors. So you can only imagine.

Honestly with it being the 25th Anniversary and it being the biggest convention, I hope theres a freddy to commemorate the vibe. It doesn't need to be super limited, just something anyone who wants to celebrate can pick up. Aside from that, hit me with more One Piece

They are released 2 weeks to the day. So the Thursday panel schedule will release 2 weeks before that, same with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
