What Makes A Grail?

To me rarity is not a high aspect when deciding if it is a grail

On a personal scale it comes down to a rare item that personally makes me happy.

In terms as grail as an overall collectible it comes down to availability and number of people that love that.

Thus why Some Le300 items sell for less than le480 pieces

I agree but at end of day its a personal opinion of what each person finds to be a grail

I’ll describe a grail as a piece that’s retired, super hard to get, con exclusives/funko events pieces, very expensive and collectibles from the beginnings of Funko..

A grail is 100% personal preferance - some go for value / price, some go for sentiment etc. I'm sure my grails are different than other people's grails and for different reasons. At the end of the day, if you own a "grail" and it makes you happy, that's what matters.

Grails can be based on value/rarity or just an individuals preference regardless of the 2 things mentioned. My grails are based primarily on personal preference.

Good question but rarity comes straight to my mind. Value sometimes however that can be hard to judge since some are worth a lot but aren't rare. I agree with Hopes that personal preference plays a major factor to me as well.

Each one of us has their own opinion for the Grail. To simply say Grail is something that we value, protected and love

Sentimental items play a big role in it for us! Either a happy memory from getting it or a childhood memory etc! Items that make us the most "happy"

I agree. I don't think it has to be a super expensive Pop to be your personal grail and I think you can have a few different grails. I will tell you my grail is my Freddy as Optimus Prime, but I also think my Twelfth Doctor Who with his guitar is a personal grail. I love them both.

The term really changes from person to person and is more of a matter of personal choice.

The definition is subjective as the meaning is different for everyone. General consensus can say that it's based on rarity and value. For me, it's based on the journey to obtain it, sentimental value, and desire. I have many high-end grails that I want (NYCC Qui Gon Jinn) and low-end grails (ACS Old Man/Chase John Wick). Regardless, each grail obtain is in my PC for life and has a purpose to obtain it.
