Fundays 2025 Fives Predictions and Five Wishes

I have had the honor of creating the Fundays wish list thread for three years. AKA the one too excited for the next year that I create this thread the week or day after or the day of the previous year. I hope there is a Fundays in 2025. But we move forward and be hopefully optimistic. I partially hit 364 days before Fundays 2024 on kind of 3 of 5. A cyclops and disney and partial credit for transformers. I had thought Soundwave would have made the most sense but that happened early with Fright Night. Saying disney is kind of a cop out because its so broad but hey.... I missed with Star Wars but maybe skipping a year made sense after so many in 2023. So let's put out our Top Five predictions. And separately top five hopes. If someone gets all five of their predictions right I will send them a bunch of swag from Fundays past. Bag. Shirt. Pin. Popcorn. Chicken sandwich.

Prediction:
1) Potter. Two years in a row. Make it three? Let's dream big and say a grey headed voldemort or bearded dumbledore.
2) Star Wars. Took a year off after chewy and anakin and mando and random endor han and others in 2023. Return? Let's go with vader.
3) GI JOE. It took years between Cobra Commander in 2016 and Destro in 2022. And since we have had snake eyes, stormshadow, zartan. I am going to go with Serpentor.
4) Wrestler. Started with Hogan and Sting. Took some years off. And now with Austin and Piper and Macho Man fantastic. Let's say...... Shawn Michaels ? Freddy Macho Man was so good.....
5) Disney/Pixar. This is a lame prediction because its so broad. But I am making it ha. But how about I say Carl from Up to match Russell.

Hopes: Emperor. R2D2. Serpentor. Sully. Voldemort.

Wouldn't have predicted Saturday morning Rocky for this year. But makes sense to go with cereal and Sat AM cartoons. Always cool to have out of the park (kind of) show up. Everyone else's turn. Sorry for the random capitalization. I am post SDCC/Fundays tired.

Nice predictions! I’ll definitely have to come back to this thread around April or May of next year to provide my true predictions. My guess is that most of the Fundays Pops! will be of characters that released between now and then.

I have to think that Vader will be a near slam-dunk for next year. I was really expecting it this year after last year's Soda, but maybe they were just trying to spread him out.

You got it so I would say it counts haha. I think I met you in line years ago at ECCC or Wondercon ? One of the two because you name is not forgettable.

Biggest wish for 2025 ? That we have a Fundays. Second wish ? That Becker makes an appearance.

1)Harry Potter would be the hardest to guess. 2022 (Ron Weasley), 2024 (Hogwarts Student). I’ll go with Dementor Freddy.

2)Great prediction on the Vader Freddy. I was surprised they didn't have at least one Star Wars Freddy. But I agree with you, they released so many since 2022 (Maul, Mando, Han Solo, Chewie, Anakin, Stormtrooper, and Luke holding Grogu.), so a year's rest makes sense. My guesses for Star Wars would be a Jawa Freddy and Greedo Freddy.

3)GI JOE, Sgt. Slaughter Freddy or Freddy as B.A.T.

4)WWE wrestling, I think Ultimate Warrior Freddy would be awesome.

5)For Disney, it appears they have been going with Classic Disney Characters. 2023 (Merlin from The Sword in the Stone, Pinocchio, and classic Mad Hatter). 2024 (Capt Hook from Peter Pan). My guesses for Disney would be Chester or Absolem from Alice in Wonderland, Robin Hood, Pooh, or Baloo from Jungle Book.

2. Freddy as Thrawn, a space themed Fundays would support that
3. Freddy as a horror character, maybe Ghostface
4. Reveals return to Fundays

I didn’t see much about this, but did Mike have an emotional goodbye on Saturday? Was there any sort of indication that Fundays would continue?

Hoping fundays will still continue. I finally got to experience my first this year and Im hoping it won't be my last. I got to be on a wining team go proto pirates! I'm kinda disappointed that I didn't get extra pops. We were a fews tables back from stage so if people stood on their seats they definitely wouldn't see us. My table is not for the screaming match either.

They did show a video montage on Saturday not sure if it was there on Friday.

I do wish that if families already received something special like signed pops for their kids that they would sit down and finally give a chance to other fans. I saw one family get both signed pops. I saw one boy that got the Sean Astin pop and then got the treasure from proto at the end of the night. I know the workers don't know who gave what to who.

I hope they go with more anime pops for fundays or other sports categories.

He got a little choked up when he brought his dad on stage. They also showed a montage and Karissa started a 'thank you Mike' chant at the end.

They didn't say anything about FunDays continuing. I have no idea if it will keep going or not, but I know Mariotti kept it going after Mike sold the company to him and left for a few years.

I remember reading (probably on here) that these events are loss leaders. So if the company is pivoting to save money, this would be one of the first things they could cut.

When tickets sold out it showed that I was 10 spots away from getting tickets then the waitlist popped up. I thought that meant I was 10th on the waitlist but if that's not the case, then it was wishful thinking
