Exactly!!! I 100% agree. Also let’s understand that these are much older pops. The newer pops I understand being OCD about it, but certainly not the older ones.

Yeah since its sitting on a shelf usually, if there is some damage but on the sides or back, i dont care as much

That’s good but also be aware of the glue that holds the box together.

Speaking of...have you ever had a box just flat-out come undone, with the glue losing it's hold over time?

Yes I have. I had to tote some of my pops up and had them stored in garage; I guess it got too hot and the glue lost its hold in about 1/4 of my pops.

That’s a good thing to be aware of…then again it doesn’t seem too hard to potentially re-glue them back together.

That is something I will try later down the road when I'm ready to put them back on display and after I have experimented with something like them.

Yes. I have. When I first started collecting. I purchased an older pop that literally came undone. I didn’t realize it because I never took it out of the pop protector. Again I was a complete novice at the time. :dontknow:

Yes I have. I had to tote some of my pops up and had them stored in garage; I guess it got too hot and the glue lost its hold in about 1/4 of my pops.

For that reason, I always tote my pops. I actually started to do that with toy figures.

I wouldn’t even dare to do that, because the glue stains the box. That’s what I heard from another collector.

Oh definitely! Minor cosmetics i dont care as much. Good tip!

I mention the glue because the box can start to fall apart and it won’t be worth gluing it back together.

What kind of glue is the best, I wonder...perhaps a glue stick?

I would think a glue stick would work and not damage the box.

Not damage the box but the glue will show. It would bleed into the box. Like a greasy t-shirt stain.
