They are going to make them comic con exclusives.

It's pretty frustrating. That's 2 times now they have said it would be released, then they change their minds. It's almost to the point where I am just going to disregard what is said on the Funko FB page, and just listen to posts from Brian directly.

LOL@ a regular Loki as a comic con exclusive... Will he be in the pre-buy? I sure hope there is a change to his costume, because I think the people that do pre-buys are probably the ones that already have a Loki. Why would they want another regular Loki?

Unfortunately, this was a last minute decision made by the owner of the company...We just received the news today. If pre-ordered, you will most likely receive cancellation on orders for the following characters: Thor Movie POP, Loki POP, Penguin POP, Riddler POP and Han Solo POP. Apologies.

It's a possibility these may be released at fundays. I am definitely attending fundays. For those unable to go I will be helping you guys out as long as there are no limitations on purchases. Will keep you posted once they answer my question.

Seems like I got all my hopes up for nothing. I understand the decision, but sounds like Funko (along with pretty much every company) needs to learn how to communicate better.

From the looks of things, Brian saw people wondering about how the pieces that many have paid so much for will keep their value if the same piece was re-released. Bummer for those that do not have the piece, good for those that do. It sounds like the ones that will be released at the con are not going to be the regular release ones but some kind of variant exclusive to the con.

I think in this instance, Brian and Funko both were in a damned if you do and damned if you don't predicament. Re-relaese the piece and have all of the people that already collected mad at you for the decreased value of the piece, and then not release it and have all of the people who do not own the piece mad at you for not re-releasing it. Brian is a good guy and he reads the forum and tries to do right by the collectors. For those of you attending the con and fundays for the first time will find out.

Just so you understand what funday is. There is nothing for sale there. You eat a ton of great food, you get your box of fun which is always freaking awesome! Brian raffles out many many many prizes like protos, super rare stuff, and other cool funko stuff. Some random giveaways like everyone from that table come grab a proto from the table. Free drink tickets as well. Also awards are handed out and Brian always lets us know new products coming out and the direction funko is headed. It is the best night of the year for most of us. I just want you or others to be clear there is nothing for sale at fundays. Comic-con yes, fundays no.

I'm sure you won't have a problem getting a hold of an exclusive from a board member here. Gemini will probably get some of the exclusives as well.
