When did you start collecting Funko Pop!?

Luckily I bought the SDCC 2010 pop at Gemini that year, but I seemed to miss on good deals for everything else.

Pop, I started collecting them last December. Got the Holiday pops for my Christmas "Display" at my work cubicle. Then got bored waiting for some wobbler packages to arrive, so I drove around to Target picking up the Marvel and DC pops.

Hah! Similar story to mine! I got bored waiting for some Pop! to come in from Amazon and Barnes & Noble (They should be coming in tomorrow), so I decided to drive down to Barnes & Noble store to get some more that I didn't order! LOL

Back in '99 when I picked up Bone Daddy & Freaky Tiki. I was at a low point and they cheered me immensely. I couldn't afford much then (wow, gone full circle), so I would make a point of visiting Newbury Comics and see what new Wobblers they had, even if I couldn't buy them. I did that for years until I went for the Boops, found this place, and emptied my wallet (willingly)!

I am the same as you Dave. I started May 13, 2012...so just last month. But I went WAY overboard. I have countless Chase and exclusives and one prototype...and the large credit card bill to prove it. LOL

I started collecting when I discovered Pop had Jack Skellington (at the time he was really hard to get). I also remember seeing Boo being cleared out of the Disney Store and online for $6.99 and at the time I didn't want her (I didn't realize that I was going to want them ALL). The Holiday series Pop really sealed the deal and I have been spending ever since!

I started in February after my friend bought me the Darth Vader Pop. When it was sitting all along, I had to get some friends for him and just went downhill from there.

my sad story...

i stood in the disney store with my wife in early december 2011. between us, we were holding jack, sally, maleficent, mike, sulley and boo. i ultimately decided that i didn't have the money to collect something else... and put them all back on the shelf.

then, for christmas, i got krusty the clown.

apparently, my wife went back to the disney store and looked all over to find those original 6 again, but couldn't find any of them. instead, she got me krusty because, well, i love krusty. i assumed that the original 6 would be back in stores in a few weeks, after the post-holiday drought was over. yeah... no luck there!

i went a couple of months with krusty on my dresser, begging to be joined by friends. i resisted as long as possible, but soon jumped into the fun! i'm now... gosh... somewhere well over 100 pops. i did manage to get back jack, sally and maleficent. mike and sulley are supposedly on the way from popcultcha.

boo eludes me.

let me rephrase that. i've yet to find a boo for a price that doesn't make me throw up a little in my mouth, as i clearly remember holding the box at the store. shoulda trusted my gut and just bought them. i tend to overthink things. but now, boo is the only non-exclusive disney pop that isn't in my collection -- and that includes both the bobblehead and figure versions of the toy story characters.

April of 2012. My work started carrying the avengers pops so I looked into what the heck pops were, saw they had star wars pops and I bought every one of them. NoW I'm just buying the ones I like and mostly exclusives.

January 2012. Went with my wife and sons to the mall and bought Homer, Marge and Krusty.

Officially I didn't start collecting until April of this year, but I've had Maleficent since last Fall. I always thought they were neat, but my main attraction was Maleficent being that she's from my favorite Disney film. I have a Sleeping Beauty collection too, so she fit that perfectly. Then one day, I randomly walked into a local Disney Store and I saw Ursula for the first time. I just had to have her too. It was downhill from there.

Now I'm at 63 total, with full intention of getting more. I don't think I'll ever want to get them all, but I didn't think in April I'd get what I have now either. Still no Chases or Protos though. My biggest finds were the "retired" DC villains, Loki, Bumble, Red Skull, and a factory error batman. I also have Mike and Sulley on the way!
