Xena Warrior Princess Pops?

How is Xena: Warrior Princess still not being immortalised in the Funko PoP line?

Is NBC refusing to licence the classic Xena brand out of fear that the general public will be confused about their planned Xena reboot? Or is the licence fee simply too high for companies like Funko to make a profit on a 15+ year old pop cultural phenomenon?

I can't believe that another Toy Fair has passed and we still don't have any Xena: Warrior Princess PoP figures (or ReAction or Legacy or Playmobil or Rock Candy or any other Funko product line)!

Come on Funko, we hardcore nutball Xenites need some Xena merchandise to spend our hard earned money on!

With Xena: Warrior Princess (The Original Series) receiving a new comic book series and trilogy of novels, NBC Universal appear to be open to licensing this beloved property. Could we finally, PLEASE get some awesome Xena (and Gabrielle) collectible merchandise?!?

That is VERY nice! If only Funko would recognise the potential for a Xena: Warrior Princess line of Pops (and ReAction, Wacky Wobblers, Legacy, Vinyl Vixens, Plush, Playmobil, etc).

So, no news from SDCC about Xena Pops. Very sad! I still live in hope that we'll see multiple versions of Xena and Gabrielle, not to mention Argo, Callisto, Hope, Ares, Joxer, Autolycus and MANY others one day (sooner rather than later hopefully).

Alternate versions of Xena and Autolycus (aka Ruby and Ash) is a decent enough start, but I want the originals in glorious Funko Pop form!

We're getting Alias Pops before Xena: Warrior Princess? Alias? ALIAS?!? Jennifer Garner was good, but Xena was so much better (and quite a bit more toyetic than a lady in an assortment of colourful wigs).

Come on Funko, when can we finally get Xena and Gabrielle (and Callisto, Joxer, Ares, Argo, Livia, Hope, Aphrodite, Alti, Ephiny, Amarice, Autolycus, Hercules, Iolaus and everyone else) in Pop form?

If you're talking about show quality, I couldn't disagree with you more. Alias was great! I never could get into xena. I always found it to be kinda cheesy. Agree 100% that xena is better from a toy/collectible standpoint though and would love to see her made into Pop form.

Lol. Agree to disagree, although I thought the first two seasons of Alias were awesome and have watched them quite a few times. And the cheese is part of the major attraction of Xena: Warrior Princess.

At least we can both agree that Xena should be immortalised in Pop form!

Agree to disagree, indeed! I will admit that Alias did get a bit convoluted towards the end. Xena was the bad kind of cheesy, at least for me. :razz:

I would positively complete this set. Growing up a kid in the 90s i loved this show not to mention having had a huge crush on Callisto lol

. I also loved watching Big Bad Beetleborgs but i doubt very few actually remember that show.

I don’t know that I’d say Xena was better, but certainly has a more passionate vocal fan base. Financially that makes more sense to me than Alias pops. I also would be down for these - just Xena and Gabrielle for me though.

I am so desperate to get a Xena pop that I bought one of these. It is really nicely detailed, but unfortunately as it is clay resin, it arrived with her leg snapped in two. I tried to crazy glue it but now she has a wicked scar. C'mon Funko, rather than churning out endless 8-bit pops (that always make me think me eyes are going bad), give us the Warrior Princess! Pretty please?

I bit the bullet and went to the last Xena Convention ever in Burbank like 3 years ago. I just wanted to get a picture taken with Lucy Lawless. There seemed to be quite the following there. Plus Funko does some obscure stuff. There are cartoons from a while ago that I don't recognize. Wacky Races or something like that. I mean that had to be in the 60s early 70s by the look of it

I'd buy everything they'd release! We were shafted on any good Xena figures or merchandise back then and I can't believe no other company has done anything since.

I’d be the first to be all up on this.

I’m also okay if they don’t. It is was among the first international shows about legendary, iconic women heroes who never needed to rely upon any men.

If Xena licensors and/or funko don’t wanna cross the line into making that a franchisee a cutesy product line, I won’t be upset.

But it’s interestint to also contemplate the extreme value rise in a lot of strong women figures Funko has made. There is a huge market for this, and Funko has only begun to tap it.

Hey, Funko. Wake up and smell the money. We like the powerful women heroes. Pretty hard to miss unless you’re trying.
