How many POPs do you add to your collection a month?

I have well over a thousand in my collection. Since 2023 started, I've only bought Killer Klowns VHS Cover and Darkwing Duck for my collection. I had another impulse buy at HT of Buggy the Clown and Gir Eating Pizza. I didn't really want those for my collection but I liked the way they looked and I had $10 in rewards I had to use before the end of the month.

I ended up not buying a single thing from Wonder Con. I'm totally over all the Disney owned properties.

Only 1-2 since it seems Funko is mainly focused on anime or large size Pops these days. I just dont have the room anymore.

Currently I probably average about 4-5 a month. Very selective now but at one time I probably had over 100 a month.

I am fairly new to this and have averaged about 25-30 a month in the first few months, but that is not sustainable because...money, room, # of POPs I want decreasing as I buy them.

I am curious, especially from those who are long time collectors, how many do you add to your collection (on average) in a month? I know some months are going to be higher because of releases that interest you, but what kind of rabbit hole have I found myself in?

I used to do 10-25 pieces per month (back in 2015-2017). But I had to stop because I eventually got burnt out.

I used to own over 800+ pieces but I’m down to 420 or so pieces. I still have 200 or so more to donate.

Alot of times its space I think but then my wife sees them and she's the problem. Or I should say likes to point out I have a problem.

It all depends on what new pops are coming out, and if it's a franchise I collect. On average, my wife and I purchase about 5-10 pops a month. If it's a con month or a special event, that number is closer to 25.

This is where I am. Really just depends on what lines are releasing, so it might be a chunk at a time if it's a Star Wars wave or something, but it definitely fluctuates all the time.

Depends, there's times I've only grabbed a couple in a month and times I've gotten 20+, just varies on what's releasing and if I can find a deal or good trade.

I have tried to stick to mostly Batman and simpsons new lines but I pick up older pops when I can the other day I got the step brothers set for $10 in the box and everything I was so excited to add those to my collection.

My brother and and a friend started collecting more during the pandemic and I got caught up in the group text of everyone sharing their hauls. Right before the pandemic, I had significantly cut down my collection. Then long time wishlist pops like ATLA, Community, and Fullmetal Alchemist were made, which sucked me back in a little. Then I started getting into MHA and we all know how many Funko released. It was like a full on relapse . I’m back to that 2019 mindset of cutting back down a lot. I’ve bought one pop in the last month, but I’ve sold a lot more.

It definitely fluctuates. Con months are usually a dozen or so, other months depend on releases but usually at least 2 or 3. Over almost 8 years of collecting even a few a month adds up.

Not as much as in the past, I used to live by this savers and there used to be randoms pops and pops out of boxes that was fun to buy

Since moving I don’t live by a savers anymore so I’d say maybe 1-2 a month if I see something I like but I always love those clearance sales at retail stores

In past years I would buy a lot but this year all I have cut way back cause of room. Guess I have to sell some to make room. The never ending cycle. Lol
