Storage Boxes for Pops
I have a bunch of Pops I just want to store right now - trying to find a good box size to do that, but can't seem to. I have a few of the standard Pop boxes that came from Funko, but those don't seem to be found on box sites as far as I can see (that size)
Anybody have boxes they use to store extra Pops in a good way, box size to complete Pop size?
I did find one site that had boxes 22x13x5 that might work alright, but they wanted $18 for shipping of 20 boxes which seemed crazy

Yeah I found Uline, & the cheapest option it showed to ship 20 boxes for about $30 for the boxes was $18 just then for shipping

I would look at Office Depot/Max and Staples.
I personally use plastic storage totes for storing my empty boxes.

Not sure where you're located, but do you have any Hot Topics around you? You could always go in and check if they have unused boxes or request them to save you some boxes.

I use these exact banker boxes. I can fit 16 pop boxes in each box.
Boy, I think it's about time I tell you the difference between a man and a woman. A woman isn't a woman unless she's pretty. And a man isn't a man unless he's ugly.

I know on Uline their S-4063 (7x5x4) boxes will fit one Pop perfectly. But I don't know how functional that would be for you if you are putting them in storage.

Re: Storage Boxes for Pops
At the moment, most of my pops are in storage boxes so I feel your pain. I don't use anything special, just random sized boxes from Amazon, EE, PC, etc. that have been used to ship the inordinate amount of pops I purchase.
I generally find that this system works fine, but I would like to find a consistent box size to make storing the boxes or pops themselves easier because the inconsistent sizes of the boxes (some fit 20+ and some only fit 4-6) make stacking and sorting difficult.
The banker boxes that have been suggested are good, but they're too small for me. The best ones I've found are the bigger boxes from EE. So, moral is, go out and buy more pops so you get some big boxes to store your pops.

im thinking of trying those banker boxes, if they hold 16 that seems to be a good amount. do you know if they fit exactly that? or is packing material needed as well?

Re: Storage Boxes for Pops
yeah & the Funko case boxes are alright, they seem to fit 6 perfectly (thought I only have a few & mainly received with orders of a bunch of Pops & that exact size doesn't seem to show as buyable on box sites) But also I would love to find a good box I could store Pop boxes in sideways with the # & name showing when box open

IIRC, they don't fit perfectly, there is some room left over. I have found very few boxes are perfect, but I do have a few that just seem to work great. Unfortunately, they aren't boxes you can just buy. At least not that I've found.

Wow...16!? May have to put that to the test...I never imagined that many would fit into one of those

I bought several clear plastic totes from Target while they were on sale for $3.95 each. I can safely get about 25-30 in each.

Re: Storage Boxes for Pops
I've been selling a lot of my comics and using the empty boxes for temporary Pop! storage. I can fit 18 pops in a long box. They stack nicely and are pretty sturdy. Might be worth a try. Those boxes aren't terribly expensive, IIRC. Definitely more than the banker boxes though.

Re: Storage Boxes for Pops
As an OOB collector, I also use plastic bins I find on sale for my boxes. Although I have been starting to rethink that and just save certain boxes and toss the rest because just...so...many....I guess it depends on if you think you will ever resell or display in box in the future?

Re: Storage Boxes for Pops
You can always ask HT, Walgreens, Target, Gamestop, Barnes and Nobles for the boxes that the Pop's arrive in. I am using those right now to store my common ones. Its also a plus because you are helping the workings with their recycle.

Re: Storage Boxes for Pops
I have about 5 master cases in my garage. Each has 6 smaller Funko cases that holds 6 POPs each. Some are packed away. Great way to pack them up, if you can get your hands on a master case.

Re: Storage Boxes for Pops
customboxesnow.com allows you to make your own measurement of cardboard box so you can figure out how many you would like to store per box and then order up a bunch so they can be neatly stacked....i plan on doing the same in my new place

I use the plastic totes
I buy them when they are in clearance (especially after the holidays) or from the discount stores. It can fit 27 pops safely. it requires 6 on the bottom
side ways 6 on each side
and 9 standing in the center
. They stay snug enough that they wont get shaken up much.

I haven't looked here in awhile - I like how a few people said early in my thread that it was crazy to put boxes in boxes & then lots of others shared how they store their Pops in boxes

Yeah, I bought a deep plastic storage bin (I can fit 60 Pop!s in there), and stuck them in large trash bags, then threw in some silica packets to try to keep moisture away. I labeled it my "Pop! Jail"
