I was wondering when Funko would jump into MLB game giveaways! There are soooo many bobbleheads given out all over the country for MLB games and it makes perfect sense for Funko to cash in!

I had just seen this on twitter, overall the pops looks amazing and I like that they gave him a crown and a staff. I wonder now if they're going to do things like this for teams all over the U.S, or was this just a one time thing since the Mariners are from Seattle. Either way I'm happy to see an actual MLB player, instead of a mascot, made into pop form!

Looks absolutely outstanding, too bad it's not a game on the weekend of the HQ opening

I wrote up a business case for Funko to enter into the stadium giveaway arena about 2 years ago. Where else can you get 10,000 - 20,000 guaranteed sales, one production run, one shipment? Times 30 baseball teams, 30 hockey teams, 30 basketball teams. That could be 2 million Pops per year if every one of those teams did 1 Funko Pop giveaway.
My idea was rejected.

By the way, the only other stadium giveaway Funko item that I am aware of is the San Francisco Giants Woody.

I would love to see Angels and Dodgers Pops. A Rally Monkey Pop would be awesome.

I love all the detail on the King Felix Pop. Funko really went all out for their home team.

Doesn't the sponsor fund the SGA? The only real benefit is brand recognition. In this case Funko gets their product in the hands of 20k potential customers. Maybe they could expand by teaming up with another sponsor like by having an Ichiro Funko Pop sponsored by Pepsi or something.

Don't really follow baseball anymore, but this is a pretty awesome idea. Would be cool to see them do this for more baseball teams and even other sports teams.
