A Studio Ghibli POP! Line

I'd die for a Howls line. It's my favorite. I am still keeping hope that maybe one day, Funko and Miyazakis team can agree design wise

That would be awesome, hopefully it will happen, sooner rather than later.

This is my number one pop wish. Howl's pops are something I feel will always just be a dream.

Yes very dangerous to our wallets but that being said I would love to see a 10" Totoro with Mei 2 pack.. Maybe a Neko-Bus ride with the girls inside? Maybe that would be a Pop Deluxe?

Also would love to see a Princess Mononoke and Howl's Moving Castle line as well!

This has been talked about a couple times, but I don't think the license will be possible, seems like Ghibli is pretty protective of their properties.

There was a couple pictures a few years ago, presumably from a Funko employee, that showed a bunch of concept art for Pops they wish they could do and Totoro and Catbus and some other Ghibli stuff was there. Some of them (like CatDog and some Nick stuff) eventually happened. I don't have them but I've reposted them on here before I think if somebody wants to find them.

Are they? When I go into Box Lunch and they have a ton of licensed Ghibli Merch. From calendars, shirts, statues, pen cases, and all kinds of Ghibli knick knacks. I don't think Vynl is too much of a stretch from the existing merch.

Hell, when I was in Kyoto our tour guide took us to a store full of officially licensed Ghibli stuff. Wall to wall Totoros, Kikis, Castles, etc.

Honestly this would make sense to do this but they are strict with their licensing they would have to be really be swayed in to doing so, but it seems like Funko is about the nail the elusive Pokemon license so there may be a actually shot

Yeah, I remember them touching on this license in a funkast episode and it’s a line they want and have tried getting the license for but Studio Ghibli just wasn’t for it at the time. Who knows though- with time and the success of Funko, they may trust them with their line. If they do and these become a reality, my fiancé will have no choice but to help me complete this ENTIRE line since I helped him complete his few lines he had to have all of. Ugh, so many options and so many chances for exclusives that I hear my wallet and cards crying already if this ever happens

Howl's is my favorite studio Ghibli property followed by princess Mononoke. There is so much potential there - I want the Baby in pop format but that would have to be a 6 inch mandatory.
