That's true, and I suppose it was a bit before the big freddy pop excitement. Gandalf would be sweet, I'm partial to legolas and gimli also.

I think it has been four years since they made a Freddy superhero crossover, and with the popularity of DC and Marvel, I would say characters such as Loki, Hulk, Captain America, Martian Manhunter, etc.

It is a visually great character, what do you think they would do? Cloak over him with his face more so exposed? Or better for one of the ghostly king looks? I feel like the king look would be better, he already has the crown of course.

as much as i'd love the robed one, i think the actual king versions would translate much better.

Freddy as Gandalf makes the most sense to me from the LotR line, based on what they've done before. But I'm kind of digging a glow-in-the-dark version like the Twilight Ringwraith!

I'm pretty sure it would never happen, but I'm enjoying thinking of how cool a Balrog Freddy could look. Like a fire demon version of Freddy with the glowing eyes and wings and the crown could be made of fire.
