Saw a teaser from Lego that they have secured a collab with Super Mario, which they dropped today (Mar10 = Mario Day).

Think that this is a positive sign of the possibility of Funko landing a licensing deal with Nintendo. [-o<

I wonder if it's the World of Nintendo figures that are stopping Funko from being able to make Pops. The WoN figures aren't very poseable either so maybe it would be a conflicting license.

I think Nintendo is just stubborn. They want to make everything themselves so unfortunately I think Funko is out of luck unless something crazy happens.

Agree, theres so many options for smash bros 2packs. Would definitely want a Pit and Dark Pit, Lucas and Ness, or Link and Zelda 2 packs.

Mario has ton's of variants just from Super Mario 3 alone. They should start there, and even tho I didn't care for the line a 8bit con exclusive from the original game

Without a doubt. Funko has so many licensing agreements in place that there are few franchises that don’t get the special pop treatment. I rather enjoy the ubiquity and variety (as long as you can control yourself from collecting them all).
