2021 Movie Anniversaries

So what big movies having Anniversaries in 2021 do we think may get a line/release next year? what would you like to see?

- I went straight to Disney from what I saw:

- 70th Alice in Wonderland
- 80th Dumbo
- 50th The Aristocats
- 40th The Fox and the hound
- 30th Beauty and the beast
- 25th The Hunchback of Notre Dame
- The Princess Diaries
Notable:
- Walt Disney's Birth - 120th
- Walt Disney World - 50th
- Disney on Ice - 30th

p.s. the 75th Anniv for Song of the South is also next year, I'm gonna guess that one stays in the vault as usual.

- I feel like The Fox and the Hound is definitely a movie without pops, I personally could do without another Dumbo or perhaps we get a new version of Clown Dumbo which may upset like 48 people. Getting a Walt Disney pop would be cool, but I know Disney is pretty protective of Walt. Disney on Ice could be interesting and definitely opens up a line of ice skating pops. The Caterpiller or perhaps Walrus and Carpenter from Alice in Wonderland?

50th for Aristocats is a pretty big one. Could see maybe a Hot Topic exclusive released. The flocked Marie is a big favorite of my sister's

I'd kill for more Beauty and the Beast. Need Maurice, Le Fou, and a 3-pack of the blonde sisters. Not to mention so many of the cursed objects, like the wardrobe, foot stool, and duster to name a few. AND, a Pop! ride of Philippe pulling the wagon or with Belle riding. Also wouldn't mind Gaston sitting on his antler chair (throne!).

Disney On Ice would be pretty great! I remember going to a couple of those as a kid. Nostalgia factor would be off the charts for me!

I can see the variety in the special release now! Harry with slightly surprised look upon finding out he’s a wizard. Harry with Hogwarts letter. Harry with Hogwarts letter (10 inch). Harry with cauldron. Harry with golden snitch. Harry with wand covered in troll bogies. Harry with taped up glasses. Harry with book (no book in particular, just a book). Harry with Hedwig (but this time on his other arm). And not forgetting the much-anticipated Harry holding broom (no, not that broom, the other one).

I'd probably get the Aristocats for my daughter, she loves that movie, and cats.

I’m a big Disney fan and love this list but can I add in Ludwig Von Drake? I know it’s not a movie but his 60th anniversary is in 2021 from when he was introduced in the cartoon An Adventure in Color, part of the first episode of Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color.

Dare I dream of a Ludwig/Walt Disney two pack from this? :bounce:

Noticed the 10th anniversary of Hugo is coming up — there's some great possibilities there. Really enjoyed this love letter to early cinema.
Also, 40th anniversary of Mommie Dearest — would love to see something from this classic

Theres definitely fan base for princess diaries, always game for more alice in wonderland would love to see the caterpillar puffing pop
