ReAction Figures! A Dream Come True!

Let's talk about Funko and Super 7's great line of ReAction and Legacy action figures. They don't bobble or pop, but they thrill in their own fun way.

ReAction Figures! A Dream Come True!

Postby Jeff Cope » Fri Nov 22, 2013 3:12 pm

When Super 7 first announced the Alien ReAction figures it was like a dream come true. And, then Funko got involved and the dream grew beyond what I could even imagine.

I'm primarily a 3-3/4 collector, and am beyond excited to see what this line holds.

I notice in the latest PR Brian posted, with the Legacy announcement, that Star Trek Classic was added to the list of ReAction licenses and all I can say is YES! Thank you! I've been wanting 3-3/4" Classic Trek figures for...well, almost forever. Yeah, we got a few TMP figures from Mego back in '79, and a few STIII figures from Ertl a few years later but nothing from TOS. I can't wait to see these!

I have no idea how I'm going to afford all these...but I can't wait.

The property that would just put this over the top for me is Classic Planet of the Apes. I know NECA is going to be doing figures, but most likely they'll be 7". I needs me some 3-3/4" POTA!

It may be a little too early to say this, but I think that the 6" line is going to change the face of the action figure industry ! I am so excited about the Legacy series! The ReAction line looks amazing as well. I can't wait to see pics of the Firefly and Back to the Future figures. Also, I would LOVE to see the ReAction line expand into 3 3/4" articulated figures that resemble the current Star Wars figures being offered by, ahem, that... other... company (the one that is currently handling the Star Wars franchise, lol).

I need to start planning my budget accordingly, because I predict that over the course of the next year or so, the majority of my action figure budget is going to be put towards Funko's awesome upcoming lines :)

You know what movie I would love to get ReAction figures from? Road House. At least Dalton, Garrett, the doctor girlfriend and Ben Gazzara.

Also would love MST3K figures...

Are all of these licenses listed in that latest blog being developed as retro-style 3 3/4" action figures? I'm starting to see a lot of naysayers now saying that these are just possible licenses. I wish we had maybe a little more clarity about what to expect. Brian? I am especially thrilled with the Star Trek Classic in 3 3/4" Reaction Announcement!

He is probably referring to Brian's post stickied at the top of this forum.

Funko's been in this game for too long to be throwing around names of "potential" licenses. That's a good way to get another company to come in and try to snatch the property out from under you, or at least drive up the licensing fees. Brian knows what he's doing and I really doubt he'd mention anything that wasn't locked down.

We'll get more clarification on the line, but will likely have to wait until Toy Fair next February to get it.

Yep. That's the post I'm referring too. I remembered hearing that there could be 14-16 different properties a month. Funko is definitely off to an ambitious start and I wish them a lot of success. I know I will certainly be contributing to Funko's profits as I will be collecting several if not all of the lines hinted at so far. I think Funko stands a very good chance of being one of the big names if Legacy does as well as I think it will!

14-16 per month seems high. Thats a lot of product being shipped on time and with customs...dunno.

But yeah Brian only mentions it if it is wrapped up and happening. Things DO fall through sometimes, but 99% of the time, if he announces it, it happens

Oooops, I meant per year. No way I'd be able to keep up with that much in a month. Lol

Are any of you guys on the Funko Twitter page? You can always ask on there and see if you get an answer.

I was told by a friend that Funko announced somewhere that they wouldn't be doing Lambert, Brett or Parker but would be moving on to Aliens. Was this actually stated somewhere?
