Pricing????

Let's talk about Funko and Super 7's great line of ReAction and Legacy action figures. They don't bobble or pop, but they thrill in their own fun way.

Pricing????

Postby Alleycat » Wed Dec 18, 2013 11:34 am

I've seen some high prices for some of the figures on eBay. Anyone know what the suggested retail prices are or will be for these lines?

All we have to go on at this point is the Alien figures, which seem to be going for $14.99 at most online retailers.

Yeah around 12-15 for Reaction. I expect, based on current prices for Marvel Legends and Star Wars 6 inch Black, 17.99-19.99 for Legacy.

If the figures are really of the same quality as SWB6", I would expect a price point of $25 ($5 more than SWB6" due to the less popular licenses and likely smaller production runs).

However, I can also imagine the Legacy figures being a bit less articulated than SWB6" and perhaps a bit less detailed and going for $20.

Reaction Alien set shipped from Funko to retailers on the 10th of this month. But so far nobody has them in stock.

Legacy is gonna be mid to late 2014.

Toy Fair is when we'll get our first look at them and more information, but they won't be in stores until later in the year. And, those will be prototypes. We won't see production shots until much closer to release if not actually at the time their released.

Amazing. Still hard to believe this is happening after all these years. I remember being so disappointed back in '79 that Star Wars-esque figures didn't come out. Then finding out years later Kenner had prototypes, but scrapped the line.

...and now we're getting them. Just awesome.

I'm rather confused by this....

So, they'll be first shown at Toy Fair, and released that day? Are pre-orders going up soon for online retailers?

I thought he meant they'd be arriving in stores in mid-February. It's possible retailers have already seen them and are just sitting on the photos until some sort of reveal date.

I would assume there is no pre-order since they are being keep a secret until the February reveal. I am also assuming that Brian means that the first day of the Toy Fair is the day that any store who purchased these pieces to sell can display them and sell them.

That's a strange way to do it, but I guess it would be no different than a 'Street Date' on mass market toy lines. They are an immediate order for me either way.

T'would be nice for Brian to tell us where we can look for them online when the time comes, however...;)

Gemini Collectibles carries all Funko. They are the only retailer that gets the protos to sell and they get the majority of the SDCC pieces to sell. They also get to sell some of the Funday pieces. They are extremely reputable and their prices on Funko are right in line with everyone else if not less sometimes.

Other people disagree. The more you buy, the less shipping is and you have to remember to pick the correct shipping option (priority/first class). I have bought from Gemini and had things shipped to California as a gift and I DO NOT think shipping is excessive.
