Classic Star Trek ReAction

Let's talk about Funko and Super 7's great line of ReAction and Legacy action figures. They don't bobble or pop, but they thrill in their own fun way.

Are these coming in waves of four figures? With only 2 waves mentioned, that only leaves one slot after Kirk, Scotty and Chekov! I really want to see more aliens in this line.

The Ridley Scott "Alien" figures have come in waves of six and four so I don't think there is such a thing as a set number of slots. I also find it hard to believe Funko will stop at two waves of Trek figures unless they absolutely tank. Having seen these I hope not!

I'm sure Reis at Funko did indicate that one of the initial waves would include at least one alien character (Klingons and Romulans being the most likely candidates). I guess in the next couple of days we will have a better idea.

To my knowledge there been no indication that Wave 1 would only comprise of these four figures. There might be a couple of figures we've yet to see. And we've also no idea how big a gap there would be between Wave 1 and 2 it might only be a month or so.

Regardless, I love the look of these figures so far.

Following from Funko:

QUESTION:

I noticed that the figures seem to have a single accessory each, i.e. tricorder for Spock and Phaser for Sulu. But obviously the core characters often used more than one at any given time, i.e. Spock with a tricorder, phaser and communicator.

I understand the cost pressures in producing multiple accessories but would there be an option down the line to obtain extra accessories, perhaps as a pack-in with a playset?

ANSWER:

Yes, for cost purposes, we had to try and limit each figure's accessory to one. And we have no plans to include extra accessories with a possible playset, but now that you've suggested it, I like this idea very much! I'll make note of it and see how it works out cost-wise. That is, IF we are making a playset. ;-)

As long as it doesn't wind up as a SDCC exclusive playset or cost $150, I'm intrigued.

Ok, the first pictures, including Star Trek:

Wave 2 seems to be:

- Kirk
- Scotty
- Gorn
- Orion Slave Girl

Awesome!

Thing is, I don't see a single peg warmer in either of those first two waves. :-D

Austin Books and Comics. Had them all for $12, so I just got Spock because I figure his price will go up more then the others.

Very anxiously awaiting the arrival of these and Big Trouble In Little China. No luck yet at Barnes and Noble or FYE and Both the Lafayette and Baton Rouge Toys R Us have for the most part ignored all the cool Funko product that's being produced, Pops included!

I love the look of the Gorn and the Orion Slave Girl. Definitely picking up those two for the collection.

They looked awesome in that St. Patrick's Day picture!

Chekov & Chapel are MUSTS to finish the core 8 who were there for the 3 year voyage (I know Chekov came in a year after Chapel & the others, but still!).

I got Spock finally! I can't wait to get all of these! I really hope Star Trek will prove to be a strong seller for Funko because I know I'm going to want the crew from every show and all the great aliens. This has been my dream license since at least the early 80's. I need to see if I can't find my vintage Kenner Yoda to hang out with Spock.

I love my Spock (via F Box)! Now I need to decide if I want to get the rest of the crew. I have very diligently avoided Star Trek collecting. Then I got the POPs...and I can see this slippery slope going down fast!

I wish the faces looked better, but I do love the retro styling. I hope we get a third wave with Chekov and Chapel, and maybe a Klingon and Romulan.
I was a little bored and thought I’s make a Mr. Kyle in his bridge uniform.

I am thinking of grabbing a Reese and Malcom Reed to make a Klingon and another Sulu to make a Chekov if Funko dose not

Hello everyone! I'm new to the boards. Recently started the Star Trek line. All I need are Sulu & the Orion Slave Girl (not too interested in the energized versions of figures, unless they make a transporter set).

Who do you all think will be next? Does anyone know when more waves may be announced?

Since every wave seems to get 4 characters I am guess for:
1) Rand (one woman seems to happen), but it could be Chapel.
2) Chekov (he is a given).
3) One Villain: Khan (not too excited about him this early in the game, but he seems like a lock?).
4) Klingon: Also seems like a certainty, I personally LOVE the Gorn but I wouldn't have thought he'd get made before a Klingon.

Wave 4 possibilities:
1) Chapel
2) Romulan
3) Mudd with Tribble
4) Kirk in green shirt.

Ah, so many possibilities. Who else should even get made?

Just off the top of my head I'd like to see:
1) Chapel
2) Rand
3) Khan
4) Klingon
5) Romulan
6) Nomad
7) Mudd
8) Andorian (I think this would look really cool).
9) Spock's dad.
