Question about the numbering on silver batman.

Hello everyone I had a question about the silver batman LE1500 that has been bugging me for about a day now. They have a numbered card at the bottom and all mine says on it is a/p? What does this mean?

That is an Artist Proof. It is more rare. Where did you get that from?

I got it at a local comic store I went to. They had just got them in and I thought hey I don't collect these ones but it looks awesome, so I bought it only to open the bottom and find out it wasn't numbered. Should I be bummed? If it is rarer than the numbered ones is it still one of fifteen hundred? What does artists proof even mean?

Don't all of the numbers come in bags? A/P does too I guess? I've seen a couple others on FB before and I wanna say they were too.

EDIT: I saw one on FB (different figure) but it was in a plastic bag too.

So what does it mean being an artist proof piece in a regular box?

I think what Bigm means is that the Numbered Card comes in a plastic polybag on the bottom of the Hikari box.

Me either...maybe the retailer that got the artist proof in a bag for some reason stuffed it into a box.

Why would he take a piece out of a box to put another one in a box? And those A/P pieces are not sold wholesale to the comic book stores to sell. Something still feels off.

I thought the name of that Hikari was "Classic Glitter Batman" as per the below glam.

Image

Did the name change from "Classic Glitter Batman" to "Silver Glitter Black Batman" or is this a different piece entirely?

Is there a card on the bottom with the name on it ? If so, does it have a number ? (may have to turn it over to see #)

ok, i see what's going on...it is not a bag with a cardboard header like the mindstyle, his picture is that of the plastic covered name tag with # on the other side that is in the bottom of the box...ok, i'm not confused anymore.

From a Sideshow explanation : An Artist's Proof is usually the first few of piece of art that is put into production. The original artist, in this case the sculptor, will inspect the first few made for quality based on the original design.

This is my artist proof candy corn freddy...came in a plastic bag with A/P sticker and had a cardboard header stapled to it. 19124

There is no precedence that an A/P is going to be worth more than a numbered piece. Although it is more rare I don't know if people who collect hikari's really care when buying them.
