I don't like the price but as someone said if you like something enough you'll pay the price and that is true, which means they haven't done one yet that I MUST have but if they do I will see. It is the one thing I do like about the Pops! they are affordable to to collect for the most part.

I would imagine that people that spend $200-$500 on a Pop or proto wouldn't mind paying the money for Hikari, so most likely those wouldn't be the people that these would be hard to sell to or the ones doing the most complaining. At that point it's probably more about a personal like or dislike for the design than it is about the money. For those that keep to a strict budget, say no more than $20-$30 for a Pop, then yeah, probably a hard sell.

More of a Pop collector but I'm thinking of getting the Hikari Jiangshi zombie. The packaging for it is really appealing since it's packed in a coffin.

I bought my first one like 2 weeks ago, ordered 2 more today. The people who collect them show the hardcore nature of collecting Funko and figures in general. Not everyone can afford them or want to pay the price, which is ok because there is a breaking point for everyone.

Sofubi vinyl has been around for years now in the Designer Toy World. It was first created in Japan and very popular in the Kaiju world. It is a process that is handcrafted and can be very expensive. Normally, the sofubi vinyl figures are extremely limited because of the process of making them. People may be upset at the cost of Hikari, but it is a much harder process to create. I do love them and have most of the Batman Hikari. I do wish they came out in lesser runs.

I'm still waiting on a blue/green Creature. We've seen C3PO in this colorway. It's a natural fit. The blood red looks nice, but really...the guy is a fish. Make him water colored.

Even if they made just one for me, I would be good with that.

Well after 2 weeks of deliberating, I finally bought the Hikari Jiangshi. I'm just lucky my local toystore had some pieces left.

I know that there are 2 more Hikari in the Jiangshi line - White Bone Demon and General Ku Lou Tou but I will just stick to the one I bought.

With HIkari pieces, I decided I will be more selective with them considering the higher price tag. So far I haven't seen any new Hikari piece that screams "Must buy" ...thankfully ;-)

Ok, I know these are limited runs, which is why I must ask...would it be seriously evil if I bought a Skeletor Hikari and had a custom paintjob done on it? There doesn't seem to be a scrapper market for Skeletor...so that is my only choice :(

I believe there shouldn't be an issue with buying an extra Hikari just to do a custom paint job. I seen people use exclusive limited Pops for their customs.

Do it and use a Toy Tokyo one :) Knock that number down a little for us that have it :)

Seriously though, buy a high #'d run and get your custom done. Then show us pics :)

I read once that someone used an Avengers Gold Loki for their custom.

But ya... I'd use one of the 2000 runs of Skeletor for a custom.

That's been my biggest deterrent from expanding into other lines, especially the Hikaris. I simply don't care for the design. That's my preference though.

Thus far I haven't found a piece I like enough to buy. The price point is not a factor at all. Once I find a piece I like enough to buy, then I will add it to my collection.

Just some watered down acrylics. Glad you like it!

I got one for christmas and it has been so much fun. Still suck at it but everytime I attempt some I learn something new about how to use it. Hikari customs are a little bit easier because of the size I have found.
