In the extremely unlikely chance that someone gets a kit, and doesn't want the Freddy... I'd be more than willing to take it off your hands.

This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. FREE. They had a lot of the Hikari collectors set and there was only a line when the store was opening. Otherwise, you can walk in at any time. It wasn't busy at all and even with the lines at the register, it moved rather quickly. They had plenty of stock of everything EXCEPT for the funko collectors starter set (the $75 funko pop set).

Re: MINDStyle Hikari Starter Kit
I went at about 11:30 on Saturday, and based on what people were saying about sell-through I thought I'd find an empty shop totally cleaned out of merchandise. They were actually FULLY stocked, including starter kits, and a MOUNTAIN of Pop! Asia exclusives. The show itself was great and I spent a ton of time there, and came out with my first Pop! Asia pieces for a very reasonable price. It was a fantastic exhibition.

Re: MINDStyle Hikari Starter Kit
I swung by late Saturday afternoon and they had plenty to go around. Great set, not in my normal collection circle but they are so pretty I pulled the trigger anyway.
The hat and pin are nice but not my thing, most likely end up on ebay at some point unless someone wants to make me an offer.

Oh good to hear that they have plenty by now- maybe the prices will come down on ebay. I wouldn't mind buying the kit off someone or even one of the figures if someone wants to split - but the ebay prices are ridiculous.

I didn't realize it was available outside the con. I was down there for fundays and I probably could have walked over and picked one up for myself.

I wonder if they are going to have kits at all the Comic Con events? I'm pretty sure NYCC will get one- too bad we didn't get a set for ECCC.

The verdigris kit from HK was already announced to be available at nycc. Also toytokyo may have their own exclusive kit as well.

Should be Toy Tokyo since they're the official distributor of Pop Asia. So they might have two different hikari kits. At the least they will have the verdigris.

It's crazy but the price of the SDCC figures continues to drop - which makes me think a lot of people bought them up just for the possibility of resale.
I picked mine up for $175 including shipping- which really isn't much more than the original price. There is a set up RIGHT NOW set to expire in 4 hours for only $150 + 15 shipping- pretty good deal if you ask me...

That's a great deal if it goes for that price. That's pretty much cost + shipping. I was lucky enough to get mine at the gallery, but even if it drops below $150, I have no regrets and loved the experience of the gallery as well!

Are the Hikari Asia figures less popular for some reason? Some of the Hikari editions of 88 are selling for $79-$99 which seems really low for such a low edition figure. Maybe it is the figures themselves that are not popular. (Oni and Glub?)

Most people (including me) pick up the characters because they think they are awesome looking, but it's hard to ask someone to drop $80+ on characters they don't know. I love the Hikari Asia line but I understand that they probably won't ever get too high in value because the demand just isn't there outside of "that looks cool."
