Vintage Mickey Mouse Hikari & Clear Glitter Buzz Lightyear!

Postby MaxGoof » Fri Dec 18, 2015 12:12 pm

Another Entertainment Earth exclusive Hikari, but at least this one isn't LE 250!

Image

Vintage Mickey Mouse is now up for order--with a price increase!

Even with the price jump, how long will he last, though? lol

EDIT:

Image

There's a new Clear Glitter Buzz Lightyear up for order too, but I don't know if I like this one...?

Leave it to Entertainment Earth to price it at $80 even though Hikari have been reduced everywhere else... It looks kind of like "Fallout Mickey" and I love it because of that, but I'm not willing to pay $92+ after tax and shipping for him.

There's free shipping, if that makes you feel any better about the price increase. lol

I bought it. I couldn't help myself. I want all the Mickeys.

Ha! Do that plus make him $55-60 and maybe I'd consider it.

Upped the price and they still pushing this vintage look... I would've expected a price decrease after the "disappointment" of the vintage b&w Mickey

That glam looks pretty crazy...I can only imagine how it will really look lol

I like this Buzz better than the original one actually...same with a few of the glitter troopers and ponies that came out...clear glitter anything is cool to me though

I hated the vintage look on the Astroboy glam shot. But in person it's awesome. I'd imagine that Mickey will be the same way.

Not going to be getting this. After the B&W bs, I think this one will look just as bad in person.

Ordered Buzz, but I'm on the fence for Mickey.

I say pass on the Mickey...save yourself the disappointment! Then again maybe this will turn out awesome, unlike the B&W

I ordered the vintage Mickey, but that's only to complete my set of 4 since I'll have the Original, the B&W, and the glitter gold...with one missing it would drive me crazy..!! Hard to believe I didn't own a single Hikari before a couple weeks ago :roflmao:

Hmmm... on the fence. Skipping vintage Mickey, I am very happy with my Original Mickey. Glitter Buzz is OK. Nice for those who might have missed out on Original Buzz but not quite different enough from the Original for me. Maybe if the green/purple were more translucent or different all together.

Yeah, think I just talked myself out of both of them. ;)

I think I'm good with Regular Mickey. They need to spread these releases out. 4 Mickeys inside of three weeks. Too much.

Same boat for me. I have zero at the moment, but after some in-transit stuff arrives and the preorders I have in place, my count is up to 6 or 7.

This. Too many too fast. Give people some time in between. Hard for people to commit on 3-4 pieces in 3 weeks with a 50-80$ price tag each.

Agreed. I missed the original Mickey, got the B/W Mickey, missed the gold Mickey, passed on the Vintage. I also got original Buzz, passed on Glow, got the Pewter, passed on the Glitter. I love Buzz and Mickey but can't dole out so much money on Hikari at one time so I had to choose which ones I really wanted. If they had been spaced out maybe once a month for the next few months, I might have bought them all.

But of course, even with the fast releases, they're still selling out!

I'm in agreement in wishing these releases were spaced further apart. It puts the most serious collectors in a bind in already high spending season.

Since I am not I love with either of these color ways and I've already ordered 5 of the other recent Disney Hikari I'm going to pass. I'm really not feeling the vintage color choices. I think there could be better ways of doing it without making them just look dirty. Sepia coloring maybe? ... I still don't know what I'm going to do with my B&w Mickey. I'm afraid to list it on eBay and get negative feedback because the buyer is equally disappointed in how it looks.
