Just curious what other's thoughts are on the marked difference between the numbering/categorizing system between Dorbz and POP! With POP! there are numerous categories (Star Wars, Animation, Games, etc.) for the one line. With the Dorbz line they seem to be taking a more linear approach going from 001 to whatever they are at now (and yes they have some duplicates here and there but for the most part it's very organized).
Personally, I like the approach they are taking with the Dorbz. Going from 001 on up makes it easier for me to keep track of all of them as I'm trying to keep up with them all. Also, I like that I don't feel the need (and yes I know I have issues) to keep a certain category complete at all times, obsessing left and right. If I'm one Dorbz short then I'm not complete and I'm okay with it.
I know it's kind of a random post here but just wondering how others view the difference in organizational foundations between the two lines. I'm sure a more tenured Funatic can chime in with how Wobblers fit in the picture as well.

If they ended all numbering tomorrow, I'd be fine with that...but I do prefer the Dorbz numbering system.

I lean a little towards I wish there was series numbering, I enjoy it either way but collecting only marvel having my pop numbers line up but my dorbz all over the place kind of bugged me - then I took all my dorbz out of box and no longer care

Re: Continuous Numbering of Dorbz line
If they did away with a numbering system altogether, it wouldn't bother me because I like to display my pieces in an order which makes sense to me or tickles my fancy at the time. However, because I'm only collecting Marvel, I would probably prefer to have series numbering to help me stay organized with what I am missing. But for some reason, I am not pressed to have a "complete" collection nor do I have FOMO about Dorbz so either way it isn't a big deal. Perhaps that relaxed method of collecting could be attributed to the lack of a series numbering system. I don't really have much of a "big picture" point of view about it all though because I only collect Dorbz and Pop!s right now, and because Pop!s are the only collectible I've ever kept in its packaging.

I miss line specific numbering, but I'm weird like that.

Re: Continuous Numbering of Dorbz line
Numbering isn't a huge deal to me. I don't display Dorbz or Pops by numbers. I display my Funko items by category/fandom/characters. The only time I look at numbers is if I'm trying to describe to a family member which Pop or Dorbz I'm missing or looking for.

If Dorbz are truly successful, they are going to have to add a 4th digit here pretty soon already.
The relative small size of the numbering compared to the figures in the double-window is very unobtrusive. I don't even really see them, so I don't mind how it looks when I line mine up out of order.

Line specific numbering is the best for those that don't collect very dorbz figure... but like Funkystark said, taking them out of the box solves that problem.

the numbering bugs me as I would never follow their numbering to display my figures.

Re: Continuous Numbering of Dorbz line
I would prefer them in categories like the Pop figures are. There are only a few I want to collect and being out of number order bothers me a little. If they got rid of the numbers I would be ok with that as well.

Re: Continuous Numbering of Dorbz line
I've learned not to worry about the numbering with dorbz or pops. I take them all out of their boxes and put them were they can spend time with their friends. All of the boxes just end up downstairs in my wife's office. The only line I've completed with my dorbz is the TMNT and that's just because I'm a huge turtles fan.
