XL Dorbz

Postby lschutzman2 » Wed Feb 10, 2016 10:46 am

Does anyone have a sense of how the XL Dorbz are selling, and if there is a plan to release more? For some reason, I'm not a fan of the regular Dorbz (seem too small), but really like the XL versions. Thanks!

I don't have any information just what I think and I think more people are of the opposite mind set than yourself. I only say that based on the ISO threads and posts of dorbz people have got, I don't really see all the much for the larger pieces. Now that could simply be because there aren't as many of them available. Up until the Stay Puft, I didn't really feel the need to own any but that Stay Puft is just perfect!

Not sure, but I really like them. I just think they should be used in scale like the 6" POPs (for the most part). A Groot XL, Stay Puft, Godzilla....these work. Not really feeling a Robin XL.
I have only ever seen a few of them at stores, had to order the others I wanted from various sites. I can't wait for the Stay Puft XL!

these are my favorite, i've been able to hold off on most other dorbz, but the XL series is where they get me.

Amazon Prime has sold various XL Dorbz for less than $10 shipped. That gives me the sense that they are not going gang-busters.

I wonder if they fall into the camp of 9" Pops, except for rare instances.

I'm new here, but count me among the XL Dorbz collectors. I have 4 XL Dorbz (and would buy more if they are released), but no regular Dorbz.
Howdy, I am Mr. Funko Jones.

Current count: 135 Pop! and ~40 other Funko items (including Vinyl Idolz, XL Dorbz, Wobblers, etc.)

I would say the Dorbz XL are doing just fine - not to mention, a 6" mold isn't too expensive to produce.

9" Pops not only didn't sell very well before (they would sell VERY well today), they were also much more expensive to produce.

Them 9" POP's were so difficult to keep from having box issues during manufacturing and shipping though....think that was a big problem. I use to think they were ridiculous and unnecessary but they have grown on me lol

I have been shaky as far as Dorbz go, but since I bought the Classic Batman XL, I have had a bug that makes me want more. I am with the ones that like them for their size compared to the original Dorbz size. After trawling through Amazon I was able to snag Black Batman, Robin, Rocket and Groot for $40. Not bad considering it was over half of that to get one when they dropped!

The only XL Dorbz I'm going for is Giant Man.... maybe down the road I'd add on depending on the character.... and XL Thanos or Hulk would be sweet
