I think I'm catching the Dorbz fever.....
So yesterday I bought my first 2 Dorbz which were GS Vision in suit and Falcon. I'm now conflicted on if I should start collecting Dorbz and take a major halt on the POP!'s. My budget can't afford both But, I think I should at least get the first line of Disney because Dorbz might be the next big hit for Funko like POP!'s were. I'm afraid if I don't buy them soon enough they are gonna retire and end up like the original Disney POP!'s

hard choices. I really have grown to like the Dorbz line myself. Just pick up what you like. Only the wealthy can collect them all these days. Just too many.

They're fun. I just wish they weren't the same price as Pops. I bought my first 5 last week, 1 during the weekend, and 2 just now. This is probably because there are no Pops I'm looking to buy right now.

I've made the switch, when I saw the Civil War line ups announced, I found myself liking the dorbz over the pops (now that Falcon pop is amazing) so I will continue to collect pops but for the most part, I'm a dorbz collector.

Collect them if you like them. They're cute and they're getting better with each new release. After 5 years of looking at Pop, it's a nice change of pace.

Even if you can't afford both, you don't HAVE to collect one or the other. You can mix both into your collection at whatever rate you can afford! Maybe just collect a certain series of Dorbz. I only collect Dorbz Ridez, and not so much for the Dorbz drivers but just because I really dig the vehicles.

I used to "panic buy" certain Pops (bought them because I was afraid if I didn't then they'd skyrocket in value). Most of the ones that I thought would skyrocket never did, and a lot of the ones that I bought just because I liked them ended up shooting up in value. So unless you're better at reading the tea leaves than me, don't buy based on your perception of future value, just buy the ones you like because you like them. If you do that you can't go wrong

I really think Dorbz will be as close to a successor to the Pop line as anything else Funko has done. Minis might be close, but I think Dorbz will be the next big thing.

I say collect what you like. you don't need to have them all. I am going to limit myself to villian dorbz, fav disney lines and others that catch my eye.
i do the same with pops but how can you resist these dorbz?? the have surprisingly intricate sculpts and details for such little guys.

At GameStop, the Disney Dorbz are $5.97 each, so that helps.

I collect both. I try and kind of split it between pops and Dorbz but I've also tried to stick to Dorbz of characters that I really like.

Give in to the dorbz. I thought i would never buy dorbz...68 dorbz later, my pop collection has come to a screeching halt.

Don't fight it! Dorbz are actually really, really cool! And like Squird said, they just get better with each new release. Just buy the ones you really need to have and don't try and collect the whole series, if you don't like them all.

Some of the best advise I've heard in a while! I am for sure just getting the ones I like!
I am really happy about all the Chase variants, I think it's an amazing idea and I can imagine it has really helped Dorbz sales.
I can only see the sculpts getting better on these, similar to Pop!s, started out basic and now look at them!

Yeah Dorbz totally won me over, and with the chase figures I can see them becoming pretty popular. Right now Im at about 45 dorbz and cant wait to get more. I say buy which figures you like and check your local hot topic or Gamestop for deals. Ht had buy one get 2 free on all clearance at my store was able to get the 6 guardians dorbz for 10 bucks.
Do you guys believe Kylo Ren when he says he will finish what Darth Vader started?

I've been picking up both. I just grab a dorbz here and there. The selection around me is limited so I don't go too nuts with them.

Re: I think I'm catching the Dorbz fever.....
It's really annoying how cute Dorbz are, isn't it?
I recently got my first 3 (TWD) and I like them even more than I expected. Pops will remain my main focus, I'm sure of that. But I'm going to have to be even more selective with those now so that I'll be able to buy the occasional Dorbz (and I have to be quite selective already, just as a Pop collector)
Luckily for me the only "lines" I'm interested in right now are TWD and Disney, but I'm in big trouble if they decide to make Harry Potter or Buffy ones.
I only allowed myself to get the TWD ones because I don't collect the Pops - so the idea is to collect from either the Dorbz of a show/movie or the Pops, not both. In the case of Harry Potter though, I don't think I could give up the Pops but I wouldn't be able to resist the Dorbz either. So Funko better not do that to me.
(OK, when it comes to Disney I'm technically breaking my rule already, 'cause I have Disney Pops too. But because I mostly stick to the princesses I only have a handful and will only have a handful of the Dorbz. That's the only exception I will allow myself to make. Promise.... )

so, my better half just noticed my current dorbz collection. I tried to play it off like they were always there, she probably just didn't notice because the shelves were messy and I cleaned them up. currently hiding my 3 acquisitions . the struggle is real

Hahaha I try not to tell my wife some of the new acquisitions that I get, but the I get the "when did you get this?" and had to try and work around the question. "Wow your hair looks nice today" or things along those lines are usually what I blurt out to try and change the subject
