Can someone plz explain the appeal of Dorbz.

Honestly, I had admired them from a distance, but I refused to give in. I have a thing for cute little things, like Hallmark's itty bittys, and when I started collecting those I went super crazy and at some point I was getting them all even though I didn't like them. When it comes to Funko, I had a few Pop!s but they were gifts or some I couldn't resist, so they were of things I liked. Then, for one of my birthdays one of my closest friends got me the Shock Dorbz and that's where my frenzy began. I lost all interest in other cute things and I started getting Dorbz instead, but even now I have very few and only of things that I like. One thing that continues to amaze me every time I get one is that they're bigger than what you expect, but they're not too big, you know? I love every single one that is released, but in order to stop myself from going crazy I decided to start a "want" list, where I put the ones that I want based on the announcement hype, a week or two later I'll go back to the list and if I feel like I don't need it I won't get it. I know some might be hard to translate into Dorbz form or that they'll look weird but Funko continues to amaze me with how they go about Dorbz. I think Pop!s are overrated and it would suck to start collecting them now because there's just so many and not enough money, even if you only go for the ones you really like. But that's my opinion and I wouldn't go hating on them because after all, we're all part of the Funko family. I honestly can't wait to see what new things Funko brings to us Dorbz fans!

They’re just super cute. And it’s cool to display them with their pop counterparts. Also the box design is way better than pops. You can see pretty much the whole dorbz without having to take it out of the box.

I think their appeal lies in the fact that all look super happy. The Dorbz “face” reminds me of the facial expression my cats make when they fall asleep after their dinner. Happy, contented, fed, not a care in the world. Isn’t that what we all aspire to?

I like Dorbz because for one they're easier to take around. I have a tendency to carry toys on my person, and it is not easy to carry a Pop in your pocket Aesthetically, I find them cute. The design is relatively simple, but the amount of detail and baeuty in such a small sculpt I admire. In my dad's words, "Now these are actually cute."

I personally like exaggerated sized items. If it’s really big, like the giant plushes, I love. And when they’re tiny cute little figures, I love those too. When dorbz first came out,I liked how they were smaller than pops and found them cute. And then PSH came out and oh man, they were like mini dorbz to me so that is now a growing collection too haha

I love Dorbz because they are small, and they look aesthetically pleasing to me. They are simple but all have little details that I think works for them. It reminds me of what pops were at first before the action poses and advanced detail(Which is all amazing) Its why I like PSH more than Mystery minis, the minimal details stand out to me more.

I don't think you need an explanation. Obviously, they appeal to a LOT of people, since Funko keeps producing them, and at a rate that I'm having trouble keeping up with!

I was a Dorbz-denier when I started collecting Pops. Maybe because the first few series of Dorbz were pretty basic, and those smiley faces on characters who were supposed to be menacing.

But then I got one. Like most, my first Dorbz was Ultron from the Marvel Collector's Corps box. Then Loki. Fast-forward two years later and now I'm staring at 400 Dorbz.

Soooooo, basically what I'm saying is........if you don't like 'em, don't buy 'em.

I was in the same boat when it came to Dorbz initially. I never thought I'd get one, and then I ended up with about 30. They are neat/cute/quirky for one thing at least imo, and their packaging is really good. You can see both sides of the product which I think is a great benefit of you keep them in the boxes!

I was so against dorbz at first i really didn't like how they looked at first, but man they have improved so much plus oob they have so much more detail and just really cool looking i like dorbz version better over some pops as well.

I started slow with Dorbz. Really only collecting the ones I got in subscription boxes. However, I have truly come to enjoy these as much as Pops. I don't know if there is an appeal or not, but it is probably like most everything else, it either sparks your interest or it doesn't.

I think dorbz have solidified themselves as being something funko is going to keep around. They are small, cute, easy to collect, easy to display/ store, and look great. I was hesitant at first, because I didn't want to collect multiple lines, but I've fallen in love with them and are usually featured in my pics

I seriously love your display! It's amazing.

I personally love dorbz because they're smaller and take up less room and they look like they could murder you in your sleep with their creepy little smiles.

I have a ton of pops and only a few dorbz that either came in Sub boxes, or cool looking horror related ones. My wife and I are huge horror fans and she just can't say no to horror pops or dorbz

I like them for the same reason I originally was attracted to the Pops and it's kinda like what Officerdorbz was saying. They all have that real similar build, shape and consistency. They are unique enough to know who is who but they all kinda look alike. I love that their so similar because when displayed (much like how Officerdorbz has his; which is AMAZING by the way) it's just like a perfect example of a pop culture display!

regardless... they take up less space on my shelf, most have MOUTHS so you can see their smirk/smile/growl and they show emotion better than pops.

I personally have a collecting problem so if I buy the Pop and they have a matching dorbz and PSH I want those too. I think they display together very well. I don't have a ton like this. For example Tony Stark with cat shirt in every size is just too cool.

I started out disliking them, but they are slowly growing on me. When the NYCC baseball one came out it was the first one I HAD to have. He’s adorable with his little bat.
