Dorbz prices

Postby CashMeOusside » Tue Dec 12, 2017 4:21 am

What's the regular price of dorbz figures? What's the maximum amount of money one should give for a common dorbz?

I believe they are about $8 plus tax. I would typically pay no more than retail for a common dorbz.

-$7.99 at most stores
-$9.90 at HT (Sometimes they have them for $7)
-$10.99-11.99 at the Disney Store (Or somewhere around there)

Pops and Rock Candies should be $10 at most places. (Vynls come in two-packs, so $20 is fair.) $8 is fair for Dorbz, and $12 is fair for Wobblers.

MSRP for Mystery Minis is typically $6, though Hot Topic and GameStop charge anywhere from $5 to $10 for them depending on the series.

Pint Size Heroes are usually $4, though again, Hot Topic charges more for them ($6).

I tend to pay $8 for anything found in a common store. If they go for more I usually wait until eBay has them for cheaper which almost always happens with these guys.

7.99 is typical now with speciality series some stores try to mark those up to 8.99 or 9.99 ...

For Commons I try to only spend 5 bucks..which is doable at places like hot topic. Especially check-out their buy 1 get 1 free sale for clearance items..then yer getting them for 2.50 basically

I think price wise they could be a couple bucks cheaper. They're almost the price of a pop depending on the store.

I"ll say it -

unless it's something crazy, it will be on clearance soon enough... which sucks because I like dorbz, but even tho Brian says they're not going anywhere it's hard not to notice major clearances and not a lot of new releases coming out.. :(

I will echo what others have said, Dorbz are usually about $8 give or take a buck. Which is kinda high for a common if a common pop is like $10 these days. But maybe it's just that on the average pops have come down a little in price, especially with deals and sales that are always running somewhere.

The exact same thing happens with Pops though. You just don't notice it as often since there are tons and tons of Pops releasing every week filling the shelves. I tend to buy my Dorbz online (seems like lots of people do the same) since you can't really find them in stores so I don't think they are as doomed as you may think. Quite a few newer Dorbz releases have the LE 5,000 sticker so I think Funko has figured out that magic number on how many to release.

$8 at retail or wait to get them from collectors or clearance for $3. These seem to tank in price very fast. Especially the commons.

I sometimes wonder what PSH did to Dorbz. I know I found myself buying them in lieu of dorbz because I felt they were similar enough to justify the price difference.

In Canada they are priced about the same as pops most places. I find it interesting that they seem to be a bit cheaper than pops in the states. Unless the issue is just me shopping at all the wrong places

The most I ever paid for a dorbz is 8.99 plus tax we don't have many of them. I don't think I'd ever pay more than that.

I might have to wait and pay the $7.00 for a dorbz . It all adds up.

Most I've spent on a Dorbz was $15 it was a Chase that I wanted, didn't really mind paying that. However I do see many going for under $10 easy

I think you nailed the nail on the head. I think the price points could be more affordable. If that was the case then more people wold be collectors. I think there is a huge idea that Dorbz are dying out.
