I’d say they are similar and that Funko learned a lot from Dorbz. They are numbered (lots of the later Dorbz were LE 3,000) and almost every one has a Chase. I will say there are still exclusive Sodas available on the Shop that were limited to 5,000 so I wouldn’t say Soda is completely killing it.

Funko sold it to them though and it's off their hands so they don't care, and they take anything really that Funko gives at that price because they wouldn't break the sweet deal they have with Pops. As far as Funko corporate is concerned if another retailer bought it they sold it and it's now their concern. That's the same with retail exclusives, they sell the certain amount to the retailer and the retailer does what they want with it.

Doesn't matter to Funko if the other retailer still has it in stock, once it's off their hands all they care about is if their stock at the actual cons and on the Funko Shop sells. And neither neglects the point that they would sell out on the shop and would make it worth throwing a bone to the diehards

I really hope that somehow, someday, Dorbz make a comeback. I really loved them. Especially the Star Wars Dorbz. Was always hoping to see more than what we got. Mandalorian Dorbz would have been amazing. Sigh…

I believe there are 3-4 total that were made. BobaKhan in Everett had one on their Instagram page late last year and I made the mistake of not messaging them to see if it was for sale A friend of mine got it though so at least it's in a good home! I believe Toy Tokyo has one of the others.

Just to add to this discussion, was it possible that this Freddy Mega Dorbz was initially intended for Fundays as well, but some probably got damaged? So they probably didn’t gave it out.

I have 2 Batman Megadorbz as well - but they are very fragile (coz they are hollow and light.

Yeah the Mega Dorbz quality isn't the greatest. A friend shipped me my Batman and I'm honestly shocked it didn't completely break in transit. I know lots of the Captain America ones were damaged to the point Funko didn't sell them at the Pop Up Shop. It is interesting though because the Captain America blanks are completely solid.

It was one of my favorite lines because of how easily they fit in my pocket but I guess no more dorbz
