MLP Mystery Mini - Series 2

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

If you are looking for a clear discord, another seller from China has a few of them for $30 each.

My online order from back in September from their website had gotten canceled, but finally found some in store. There were only 6 left and bought 4 of them and got a crystal Discord! Also got a black Trixie, AJ, and colored Discord.

Has anyone bought a clear discord from that place you are talking about with the dirt or scuffs?

Perfect timing. I ordered one from that seller a few weeks ago, and it arrived today. It looks great!

I was going to buy yellow Fluttershy from that place but the dirt/scuffs warning scared me off.

Anyhow, I have not seen very much of series 2 minis lately. Now I wish I would have bought more when I first saw 2 cases at the local HT.

New cases seem to be showing up in Hot Topic again. Found an untouched case and got colored twilight, colored Trixie, Daring Do, and a second clear Discord. Only non-chase I'm missing now is black Twilight.

Someone on the MLP Arena posted a picture of a small lot of pony mystery minis that they bought from a seller in China, including the Fluttershy one. They all looked really good, actually! I've heard that sometimes the figures are just a little dirty, so they're easy to clean up.

I won a mystery mini crystal Discord from a seller in China and according to tracking, I should have it when I get home from work today. I'll upload pictures later, of course!

I bought all three show-accurate ponies from overseas. There are minor scuff marks in areas. I've tried to buff them out, but I haven't had any luck. If you don't mind a few marks on them, they are a good buy. I can post photos when I get home from work.

Luckily, I pulled a Fluttershy from a fresh Mystery Mini case last weekend at HT. :)

I did, mine looked a LOT better than the one in the picture. Fluttershy was near perfect, Lyra had a couple of black marks, Discord had a couple of what may be paint rubs- Crystal Discord looks perfect, Spitfire looked perfect. I'm pretty pleased since I didn't want to buy multiple cases just to get the 1/72 ponies.

Image

I suspect that it's random. All the ponies must be from a batch that was rejected for paint flaws/scuffing or something. I feel a little bad buying them since I don't think it supports Funko, who I love. But really it isn't keeping me from buying more minis from legit sellers, it's just saving me from the frantic trading buying/selling that I had to do for the first series.

I LOVE the minis- they are absolutely adorable

I don't have any of the wave 2 chasers. And I'm still missing Hooves from wave 1 anyhow. If I could purchase all 5 in one swoop then I'd go for it but I can never find them all!

I had to buy them one or two at a time, over a period of weeks. I kept an eye on the seller that had them (they always have many of the same) and put snipe bids in every week until they finally sold for the amount I was willing to spend (about $12 each)

Went to Hot Topic this morning and my daughter pulled a Trixie and a HT Spitfire. She has pretty good luck. Maybe I'll have some luck trying to talk her out of the Spitfire.
