Who here uses Pop in a Box?

Im really interested in it for a few reasons... It might control my spending a little! and the anticipation of a box of Funkos arriving every month must feel like xmas

is it a good idea/bad idea, do you really get any exclusives?

I would love to know what people think of this company!

They're a really good company! Yes, you do actually get exclusives or 'prizes'. In my first month, I had a two Pop subscription, and I got X-Force Wolverine, which was a prize that month and Lady Sif, so it's pretty good

yeah i have a subscription i change how many i get month to month depending on what i have spent already...last month i took 6 and got Merle Dixon, Injured Daryll, Cheetarah, Penny(Walking Dead), Angel and The Gentlemen.

Ok I have joined up and done my wishlist, im really looking forward to that first box turning up now!!!
When do they start to get shipped? is it the end/beginning of the month or does it vary.

2 batches generally 2nd or 3rd week of the month depending which batch you are in

I just checked the website out and it looks awesome!!! I don't suppose they ship to the US though do they? I didn't see that in their FAQ's.

They just announced US shipping. I think it comes to like $11 or $12 for shipping....

Have they started shipping to the US yet? When looking at subscription plans on their site it looked like everything was still in pounds & I didn't see anything on twitter saying they're shipping to the US. Unless I missed it.

Yeah they're shipping in the US. I just bought my subscription today. It was kinda wonky inputting my address in the UK format, not sure if I did it right but it seems to have gone through. I put my state in the county box, house number on the separate line like it asks, etc. It says shipping costs will go down once more people from the United States order. The transaction hasn't hit my debit card yet, but I'll update here with what the total is in US dollars when it does.

Finally got billed for the Pop in a Box. I got the single pop, with shipping it came to $24.13 USD. Not too terribly bad.

An update for people ordering Pop in a Box internationally:

I just got an email regarding international orders. Did anyone else get this? I suppose you would only get this email if you ordered a subscription from them and don't live in the UK.

This is what the email said for anyone who was curious about ordering from Pop in a Box internationally:

This month was a test of international orders for the subscription, it failed We feel the current site isnt up to the job of international orders just yet, so we will be pausing all international subscription until further notice, there is extra processes involved that we didnt know about until we started typical.....

We hit another problem in the sense that we have not been charging enough for shipping also our collection engine kindly gave most of the bigger and larger pops such as rides and oversized to international customers causing extra delivery charges.

Its cost us allot of money to do this test, we dont mind paying it as it gets you guys your pops

When our new site is live we will offer international out to more countries and offer delivery rates based on volume. As for the USA we are working on a dedicated site just for the USA with its own dedicated pop shop and subscription service, the USA customers will be able to use there current account, nothing will change, account wise.

We will send your subscription out today. I will personally cover the extra costs, sorry for delays in sending these.

I thought it seemed a bit inexpensive for international shipping. I'm assuming this means I won't be charged tomorrow for the next month's box since the international subscription service has been put on hold. I'll probably email them back for clarification on that. However, I am pretty excited to hear about their plans to launch a dedicated USA site!

I've heard that he's currently working on getting an exclusive. I have heard he's quite a nice guy, yeah. It's almost all run by just him, right? Because it's pretty impressive what he's achieved by himself

Very true. I currently buy most of my Pops through them, such as the CW Flash and Reverse Flash. They're really good, and despite only using bubble wrap, they usually come in great condition. And if your box comes to you in bad shape, you can get money back

Yes I was impressed by how nice and courteous he is. Before this email, he had sent one apologizing for a delay in shipping. It's nice to know that customer service is good. I was surprised to see that it was the owner sending the emails as that's rare these days. Looks like it's a small operation right now but I think there's great potential for growth. I hope this company does well in the future!

Wow, never heard about this site until now. From all the good words here, once they open a dedicated US shop I'm definitely jumping on board. Outside of Loot Crate and Collectors Corps, the only one I've tried is Pop Funbox, and I was a bit disappointed with that.

Even if you don't get a subscription, it's fun to get an account there and build your collection for your profile like I've got in the URL in my signature. It also shows you what percent of each pop series you've got. I currently have 9% of the Game of Thrones Pop series and 2% of the Television ones. Fun stuff for obsessive collectors like me
