Maybe We'll See Hikari T-Shirts?
So, I really love the stylized art on the back of Hikari boxes...any chance we might see apparel? Did I miss someone talking about this already? I would definitely buy these as printed shirts or embroidered hats!

I some what doubt it but would absolutely love it! My booth worker shirt from 2014 is probably my fav Funko tee.. how ever the Fundays 2015 shirt is pretty sweet.

I feel like it could be a MAYBE...! Eventually those Hikari starter kits will have to start switching out using the same hat & pin. Shirt sizes would just be a little tough to manage... :/

I would LOVE shirts and even black baseball caps with the Hikari neon pics on them. Very underrated artwork on those boxes.

I would buy Hikari Shirts no problem! something like this...and they can do exclusives for comic con, and mindstyle, i would buy it up like crazy! i would maybe even buy star wars! The neon stylization is pretty much ready to go!

Maybe post this in the Tshirt thread that Funko South started? They might actually do it who knows! Personally I love the back art more than the hikari's themselves and wish they actually were neon like the art.

I tried to get an Astro Boy one made before SDCC this year but I couldn't get the graphic to expand big enough with out getting all pixelated.

I would buy! I like the idea of the hikari logo on the sleeve. The neon box art would look great on shirts.

Re: Maybe We'll See Hikari T-Shirts?
That would be really cool! I also like the idea of embracing the "retro" roots of Sofubi toys and making sort of retro-styled shirt designs around the hikari characters. Sort of like what they did with the SDCC 2015 "Fantastic Freddy Funko" comic book styled shirt.

I would like the Hikari body to be bigger and then the figures back in the back of the shirt.

Re: Maybe We'll See Hikari T-Shirts?
I haven't seen all of the neon designs to make full judgement calls, but
From a sales perspective, No brainers are Batman, Deadpool, Ninja Turtles, Skeletor, Groot, Vader and Boba Fett.
Personally, I would instantly buy (like pre-order right now if they announced it) Skeletor, Universal Monsters. Batman, Groot, and the Mindstyle pieces like the Sheriff, Oni, Tiki, Dragon King, and that Patrick Ballesteros Glub Glub neon design was TIGHT!

Turtle group shot
Sheriff emerging from smoke clouds
Vader with a llightsaber
Boba Fett about to shoot his blaster
Oni swinging his club
Dragon King breathing fire
Assuming if they were able to draw up new designs instead of just using the static images from the back of the box.

Re: Maybe We'll See Hikari T-Shirts?
My favorite among the Pop! shirts so far are the ones that have a "scene" rather than just a static picture of the character. Namely Skeletor, Stitch Elvis, Mad Hatter, etc. I really think that drawing on the retro-japanese inspiration of the Hikari line would make for some insanely cool Hikari shirts. Imagine one of the Hikari characters like Batman or Groot in the below style imagery. Especially with a distressed print it would look so cool.

I like that idea too! Good call! Especially with distressed looking prints... I think they could get away with any of these ideas. Some people would go for regular neon designs, some for cartoonish kind of like the pops, some for distressed style prints like you described, and those like us would buy them ALL

They were never for sale 2 maybe 3 years ago the booth workers got them and a few were given out to the crowd at con and Fundays, I don't think very many were made. Good luck on the hunt you might find one.

I did a few mockups after scanning 3 of my boxes. I tried the neon outline on black which looks great, like the box, and then I took the black interior and put it on a red shirt, and that looks AWESOME! well, IMHO it does. i didn't put any logos on it but i think it looks great and would sell! (sorry i didn't have an astroboy to scan)

I think that would look cool, but I think it should be one Hikari design per shirt, so the art can be larger and appreciated. I am also obsessed with the distressed retro toy print idea, and Kai's original action art idea, I wish I had any artistic talent to do those mock ups
