I used to think that too but if really want it try trading up for it. It's a long and meticulous process but it can be done!

I did that for my metallic beerus so I imagine it would just take 10x longer lol...

Yeah indeed patience is key in pop collecting haha

Yeah i definitely think they should go for a darth maul freddy pop. I can already imagine the craze for it though. If people are this excited for X-wing Freddy, i can already see what it would take to trade for a Darth Maul Freddy.

If they ever do one I just hope it's not a super limited run. 200 and below and we're in trouble on the secondary market.

My fiance ended up with Poe Freddy only thanks to a very awesome friend who knows she is a diehard Star Wars Pop collector. I'm amazed he is going for $800 and believe its only gonna get worse once more end up in "forever homes." I know another 4-5 are already locked down with friends who I'm sure will never sell/trade it away so $800 might be a deal when you look back a year from now :(

I'm not sure it will get worse. Yes, it's Star Wars but there are other more limited Freddy Star Wars versions that are currently lower on PPG (yes, PPG can fluctuate heavily, but it's a decent enough gauge):

Clone Trooper (LE 96): $620
Boba Fett (LE 196): $750
Kylo Ren (LE 400): $360 (yes, twice as many as Poe, but Kylo Ren is also a much cooler character)

But who knows, some items do seem to skyrocket all of a sudden. NYCC Qui Gon Jinn with a LE of 2000 is north of $500 while Boba Fett (Droids) with a LE of 480 is around the same value. Sometimes the hype can last for a while.

I agree, personally i would rather own a clone trooper freddy or a boba fett freddy over an X-Wing Freddy. When i bought my Boba Fett Freddy i bought it only a few months ago for $625. I think the X-Wing Freddy will see a decrease in pricing as well. I think the real question is when ?

Good points, but I somewhat disagree. I don't think clone trooper and boba fett are great comparisons because each of those have a more desired variant.

Clone Trooper (Blue Hair) LE 12
Boba Fett (Red Hair) LE 24

So technically there are more Freddy Fetts, but more importantly, the ones you listed as comparisons are the "more affordable" and "easier to obtain" versions of that Freddy, which decreases its value to collectors. I think if the regular clone trooper Freddy and regular Boba Fett Freddy were the only ones available, the prices would be higher, if that makes sense.

Also, the current price is what non Star Wars collectors are willing to sell it for. Once most of these are in the hands of Star Wars fans, there are will be less available for sale and the price will increase because the supply would be lower. Also with each new Star Wars movie, the demand for this one will be higher.

Disclaimer: I have a Freddy Poe so I've thought about the price it'll settle at, but since I'm keeping it as my first Fundays momento and I'm a Star Wars fan, it won't be for sale and is now a LE 199 lol

Yes, but I'd argue that Boba Fett is more popular than Poe. Not sure about the popularity of Poe vs a generic Clone Trooper but 2 variants that total 108 is still much more limited than Poe at 200. Supply and demand still comes into play, and if the more limited variants are never offered for sale (as is the case with many LE 12 and LE 24), then the more prevalent LE becomes the defacto barometer.

My guess is that Poe settles about $100 less than Boba Fett over the next couple of years. Notice, I'm not saying it will be $650, since the popularity of Funko can continue to increase, etc., I just think it'll be lower in value than the Fett. Time will tell of course, and I have no desire for it to go one way or the other, just a general interest in statistics and analysis.

By the way, congrats on scoring Poe. It was my favorite giveaway at Fundays.

Yeah, it was my by far my favorite Freddy this year too! I thought it looked better than the 1/24 Black Ranger or White Lantern Superman. I don't care what price it settles at either since it's not leaving my collection, but it's always interesting to speculate about the "value" of these things. I personally think it'll eventually end up higher than Freddy Boba Fett because of the new movie(s).

Thanks! I actually don't even have it yet. It's arriving today! I struck out trying to trade for it, so I sold my other Funday items to pay for it when a funatic here gave me a good deal.

It'll be keeping me company in my office since I work from home a couple days each week!

Nice. So it all worked out. Are you a star wars collector?

Yeah Star Wars is my main collection. But I recently had to give up my completionist goal haha. I can't keep up with the amount of space needed!

Same here. Or the damage it will do to your wallet.

True that Star Wars hype makes every exclusive in demand

Thanks! I actually don't even have it yet. It's arriving today! I struck out trying to trade for it, so I sold my other Funday items to pay for it when a funatic here gave me a good deal.

It'll be keeping me company in my office since I work from home a couple days each week!

You've must have paid an arm and leg for it!!

Most people laughed at my attempt because Poe was limited to 200, but it all depends on what people want, etc. I was able to trade for Freddy V, one of my ultimate grails, so I'm happy with the end result.

Same here. I offered cash, multiple Freddys, and a combination of Freddys and cash and still couldn't get one. I had a Star Wars shirt on and one person who refused to trade didn't even like Star Wars, but would only trade for something as "limited" so it had to be "200 or less" ](*,)

Jealous of the person who got X-wing Pilot Freddy for Fatman, would have done that in an instant!

Still not sure how I got so lucky in this case. I can assure my luck is normally of the non-existent variety. lol

After that, I had some trade troubles. Was trying to get the Freddy Scott Pilgrim, but couldn't work out a deal.

Pretty sure I was the one who traded you that Poe for Fatman. Everyone said I was crazy, that I could have sold Poe and bought both the different Fatman versions and still had cash left over, but trading to a fan who said "I live and breathe Star Wars" when I asked about the trade was worth more to me than the cash value!

I'm gonna have to work on my trading skills before next Fundays. (Well if I even get tickets, but too soon to worry about that)

Well if it was you, then thank you again a hundred times over! I'm hardly the only Funatic who lives and breathes Star Wars, but that moment made both my night and my Convention. So thank you again so so much!!!

What did you end up trading for it?

A buddy of mine collects Marvel only and so I managed to trade for a Doctor Strange then traded that to my friend.

Wow that's a good trade it seems like. Congrats!

Yes. Very good. You must have traded to a superman or DC fan. Nicely done.

Yes! Thank you I was so happy my boyfriend moepops is a big Star Wars fan and collector I think he was more excited about that one than the 1/24 Black Ranger that I got in my box

Wow you guys did great at Fundays. The black ranger was a wierd 1/24 but still an amazing get!

Kudos to @nerdgirlcustoms. That's so sweet of you! :thumbright:

I was hoping there would be more Star Wars besides Poe too. My DH is a hardcore Star Wars fan and would have loved one. But I'm a noob at the post-Fundays tradition session and didn't see any until after Fundays.

Really awesome. It's not always about the value. Hey you wanted that Fatman. I don't blame you. If you're not a Star Wars fan then it really means nothing to you. I'm a big fan of the wars. I'm just happy you got it in the hands of another fan!

Big Star Wars fan and I was at Fundays sitting in the Rebel Alliance section. Everyone around me had basically the same Supermans, Power Rangers and a few Scott Pilgrims. It wasn't until after the event was over that I even knew about the Poe/Pilot Freddy. I walked around the room as a few people were trading various things and I never saw it. I've been on the lookout but so far the trade/eBay posts have been super pricey. Hoping to add this one sometime in the future.

The problem was there were four variations of supermans and four variations of power rangers. Really felt like everyone had the same boxes.
