Re: Mortal Kombat Action Figures
These are actually pretty awesome, if I see them in person I might have to get at least Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

Don't the guys look a little "stubby"? Like their legs are too short for their bodies? Maybe it's just me.

THANK YOU REIS!!! I’m screaming like my two pre-teen daughters at a One-Direction concert. These are going to be awesome. I can’t wait to see more. Namely a certain barbarian!

It's pretty true to form for the 80's Heman figures, maybe a bit more stubby but very similar styling.

It's a throwback to the old He-Man action figures of the same style.

Oh yeah, I’m aware. To me, it just looks odd with these particular characters.

They remind me of the mini WWF figures from back in the day
Kinda cool though

Not gonna lie, while I think the details look fantastic, the stance looks weird to me. That said, I won't collect them, but I make no promises that I won't pickup Subzero if I see him in person, haha.

I think that like Reaction figures, this style might not be for everyone. Those that however grew up with He-man are going to buy the hell out of these! Let’s just please get more licenses! I’ve been wanting Conan the Barbarian like these since 1982....I would collect both for the Schwarzenegger film and the comic book. Please get licenses for World of Warcraft and Kratos as well!

the only one that looks proportionate is Kitana. The others look stubby. Even more so than the He-Man figures from the 80's

Unfortunately I’m not feeling these at all. Agree that they look a little too stubby. I get it’s The old He-Man style but I’ll be passing. Looks like a few of you like them so hopefully you can pick them up soon.

These remind me sooo much of the figures I played with as a kid. I'll definitely need a Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

I don't like these at all. I wish they made them similar to the 1994 molds. I know this isn't the same game, but seeing them in a retro look would of been cool. These figures look too bulky

I wish they used the Raiden and Lui Kang designs here for the Pops! though. IMO these outfits are way more iconic, Lui Kang with a mullet is better than a ponytail.

Reis loves his old school He-Man figures and so do I, so I can’t wait to get my hands on these!

Re: Mortal Kombat Action Figures
I think this is a case of the rendering not doing the figures justice. Given that these will be like that Zorn figure, I have to think they'll look quite a bit better when we can see the full style of articulation. I'm hoping these will grow on me quickly when I see them in-person.
That being said, I just think MK is a played out line. Storm Collectibles is doing a great job at that higher price point, but beyond that we have seen MK figures non-stop for years now. I look to Funko for stuff that other companies won't do or that desperately needed brought back to life, like Disney Afternoon. So these are disappointing in that regard.

While I like Mortal Kombat and will get these, I kinda agree with this. These will be judged more as not matching modern aesthetics than Conan the Barbarian would have. I wonder if the same would apply if they would have went with Classic Mortal Kombat looks instead.

Considering they used the old Masters of the Universe Horde playset, I'd say these are for sure meant to be an homage to motu.

I really enjoyed this Pixel Dan review! I can’t wait to see what else Reis and the gang at Funko are developing for future figures under this “Savage World” category. I know Conan the Barbarian has been strongly hinted at. I hope for some John Carter!
