I guess it all depends on the kind of collector you are. Personally, I'd much rather have the ten lower value ones.. but then again, I appreciate them for how they look, if they're part of a fandom I like etc.. not necessarily their value. Their value doesn't really mean all that much to me. Yeah it's nice to have a valuable one but as I like them for how they look and what they are the value doens't make them any better in that department.
I was the exact same when I collected auto and relic cards for years.. I knew the logical, wisest thing to do would be collect them in series.. for future value, desirability etc. But I didn't.. I just bought cards I loved.. autos from people I loved. Mostly actresses or athletes from whatever movie series or show or sports organisation I was into.. I had LOST cards, LOTR cards, James Bond cards.. UFC cards. Just whatever appealed to me. Never really built series like other guys would.. some maybe to an extent but strangely, collecting every single card was never my thing. I just tracked down the ones I wanted.. of who I wanted. This kinda means if I was selling I'd have to sell individually as I don't really "full series" to sell. But overall I think individual sales work out more overall.. but admittedly also more hassle more shipping etc. However cards are pretty easy, inexpensive and straightforward to ship.
Sure, if I saw a really valuable Pop that I wasn't really into.. I'd buy it if it was going for a steal. But normally I just collect them because I like them.. I can understand serious collectors paying huge sums to complete lines however. In my view, Pops are really no different from cards in many respects.. except thankfully as a rule of thumb they are alot less expensive. I think all of these reasons contribute to why they appeal to me. I'm really only beginning though. I don't ever intend to get into Pops the same way I was with cards and other collections.. I spent small fortunes. If I tallied up my collecting combined over the years I'm pretty sure I could have bought myself a Ferrari.

Aw well. I enjoyed buying and collecting.
