I would say because ABBA is not a group a lot of people know about or listened to. I imagine to think for a lot of the collectors, they are younger and this group is before their age.

With the two Mamma Mia ABBA themed movies, I think more people became aware of their great music.

If we went by older hit films, past TV shows, like Golden Girls, many of the TV mascots, and more as example's, I think an Abba set would do well :) . :freddy1: :freddy3: :freddy4: .

I know what you mean. I grew up listening to this music as well, I just don't see it gaining enough popularity. I know they did golden girls, but I have a feeling they didn't sell super well.

If the Golden Girls didn't do well, then I don't think they would have made the Pez dispensers or the cereals or the skateboard or the Pocket Pops or the drinking glasses.

Whenever ABBA finally gets their hologram tour off the ground, which was supposed to be this year or next, would be the right time to release Pops.

True, but sales do stop things in their tracks fast. So many lines have only seen one wave over the years because that one wave doesn't sell well. League of Legends is a great example.

Wouldn't mind these--as a completionist; but I have to admit that with limited space and resources there are a lot of other Pops! and Funko products that occupy a higher position on my collection list right now.

They are a nice group don't get me wrong, but in this new era of singers don't think it will be too many people like it.

Yeah I don’t think the age demographic that tends to collect pops would make this very popular. I could be wrong though

Based on things like the Funko booth at SDCC and Fundays, the median age is the 30-40 something range. They are aware of ABBA. Plus all the younger crowd that loves Mamma Mia.

I think you could a quick get in and get out release of this to appease the ABBA fans. Which believe it or not, are many.

I agree with you on this. I personally wouldn't mind, however I know I'm a bit older than the average collector...sadly I just don't see it being a strong line and a there being an overwhelming demand.

Agreed, but it's highly unlikely there would be more than one wave for ABBA. I'd say funko would just choose one mold for each, possibly different outfits for different songs, and then leave it at that.

ABBA would be a cool set, they should be sold at the rock and roll hall of fame museum or at the Grammy museum, as limited edition to raise money for the museum. They can have musicians from different eras

yeah they would at least that if there is enough demand for at least the first wave. I would love to see it myself, but I am just not going to get my hopes up.

You listen to ABBA? :-k

I think with so many great musicians/bands of yesteryear, it’s hard to imagine Funko making ABBA unless it was like an LE 500 since I think the demand for these pops would be a small sector of Funko collectors.

I think ABBA is a great band but I think there are so many other worthy groups that need a pop but may not be so fortunate to have them
