Harley would be a interesting one to go with the line but makes sense for her to join.

Super7 makes them if you want them. They’re amazing. $20 a piece but at least they are high quality and don’t break out of the package.
My Super7 figures broke right out of the package. I got replacements but I’m scared to pose them.
Funko fixed its 5.5 figures with the Target release. Re-bought the whole line with zero regrets.
Funko’s figures aren’t as cheap or hollow feeling as Super7’s.
Thinking of selling my Super7 figures honestly and turning my back on MOTU entirely (outside of MegaConstrux) until somebody other than Super7 produces figures. It looked for a bit last year like Mattel was considering a vintage line. Since Super7’s1987 “movie” figures are licensed from the costume designer, I’m personally hoping WB has proper movie rights and can license those to Funko.
I have a lot more faith in Funko’s production standards than Super7’s.
Yeah well, my three old son has been smashing the Series 1 MOTU Vintage figures together for several months and they still look and work like they're brand new. On the flip side, I've purchased 5 Panthro Thundercats figures and they all had broken legs straight out of the package. I've never even seen the Thundercats line at Target. Nice that Super7 replaced those figures for you, though. Funko just sent me back to the store so I could keep buying broken versions of the same garbage figure.

Panthro specifically and basically all the Primal Age Amazon figures and Thundercats figures (the TCats figures everywhere) had QC that was very atypical of Funko’s 5.5s. The Target Primal Age shifted the plastic and did a retool to fix it.
I have no idea how you manage to move the legs of those Super7 vintage figures.

As both a MOTU AND DC nerd, I feel as though I am finely attuned at picking out appropriate characters for this line!

Love super 7 don’t get rid of those. I’m still very in the fence about Funko’s version. I like the idea but have been pretty loyal on this to super and Mattel Sometimes just have a hard time seeing horror guys with big guns.

Keep an eye peeled for SDCC news. Supposedly Mattel is announcing MOTU releases there and since that's a bit early for movie figures, it probably means new retail MOTU, maybe vintage reissues.

We definitely need more of this line. This was a really cool idea; really original take on some classic characters. I like that it was supported by a "mini-comic"-type thing like MOTU, and the lunchbox was a nice touch. All feels very vintage. Hoping for:
Wave 3
Shazam
Martian Manhunter
Black Adam
Sinestro
Harley Quinn
Wave 4
Dr. Fate
Robin
Captain Cold
Braniac
Catwoman
Wave 5
Cyborg
Green Arrow
Etrigan
Swamp Thing
Cheetah
Wave 6
Hawkman
Plastic Man
Supergirl
Toy Man
Riddler
Wave 7
Firestorm
Hawkman
Darkseid
Bane
Superman (Gold costume)
Deluxe Beasts
Doomsday
Grodd
Grundy
Giganta
Playsets
Fortress of Solitude
Hall of Doom
Hall of Justice
Shazam
Martian Manhunter
Black Adam
Sinestro
Harley Quinn
Wave 4
Dr. Fate
Robin
Captain Cold
Braniac
Catwoman

Re: DC Primal Age Wave 3 Wishes
I’m thinking with Mattel losing the license for DC, maybe we WILL see 5.5 comic DC characters in this style from Funko. (McFarlane’s new license doesn’t cover sub-6 inch.)
That said, Mattel is upping the game with its new MOTU Origins line to unveil at SDCC. MOTU is going back to 5.5 with 18 points of articulation.
That may or may not scare Funko off. On the one hand, it could boost Funko’s sales in this scale. On the other, it could up expectations. I’m hearing Mattel’s new figures are sturdy, on par with their wrestling line, and I’ve seen reasonable speculation that while the SDCC preview has 2 figures with multiple hands/heads/accessories for $40, retail may be $14.99 and have fewer accessories (with variants you can swap parts with easily).
If He-Man figs in this scale are $15 and have 18 POA, a $10-15 figure with just 5 POA might be less commercial.
