Re: The Boys
Just read that they're already filming season 2 didn't realize it got renewed before the 1st episode even dropped. But I'm sure they already knew they had a winner. Some of the new heroes/villains next season sound interesting already.

I heard about season 2 already being greenlit but I didn't know it had already started filming. That's great news!

Show is good. Hope to see The Boys pops, especially since they made Umbrella Academy pops.

Not sure if this was mentioned but an A-Train pop shows up in the show , so hopefully that's a sign that there may be a license in place already.
Spoiler: show

This could be the rare POP that literally has to stay in box, as the plastic shell would be the only thing in the box.

Good one. Maybe when he is invisible and has blood on him to identify parts of him.

TruffleShuffle wrote:Just finished binge-watching the show about an hour ago. I did thoroughly enjoy it. Their costumes make it very easy to make designs into Funko Pops. Starlight with her 1st costume, and then her other one could be a chase. or a chase of her with glowing eyes and what not. But yeah, good show to me. I like their take on super heroes, where things aren't so black and white. Philosophy and their ethics play more of a role since it's rated R. Marvel and DC are pretty cookie cutter and don't ever really get into morals. Don't want to spoil anything too much, but know that it definitely isn't a typical super hero show.
I agree!

Love anything Garth Ennis creates. Only about halfway through the show, but it definitely lives up to the quality of the comics so far for sure

New comic book based show on Amazon Prime streaming. I’d recommend it

Most definitely not kid-friendly. Love the different take on the super hero genre though

Me too. Don't get me wrong I love the kid friendly MCU movies but this was a nice change of pace.

My thoughts exactly. It’s nice to see something a little closer to Rated R sometimes like the Deadpool movies. Excellent change of pace and a great way to keep comic adaptations fresh

That's awesome news! We can't wait until the next season becomes available. I think this is one of Amazon primes better exclusive. I might be wrong and missing out other shows.

Finally binged the whole series. It was good. Not what I was expecting but good. I'd probably have to watch second season before I'd be interested in buying some pops though

This is seriously the way to create a super hero show. It would be so wild if Batman ever got this kind of treatment.

Re: The Boys
I wonder if Funko would be willing to do a pop of Homelander or The Deep. I know they’re fictional characters but given their character’s actions that could be really troublesome. Aesthetically their costumes are great minus A-Train, could definitely confuse some kids and such .
I already see a bloody Hughie chase in my head though

Haven't watched yet but with all the positive reviews I've read online and now here I think I need to check it out. I think I saw Brian tweet about the show too and that's how I got introduced to Umbrella Academy.

I was at SDCC and they were promoting this show. I figured let me give it a try. It was definitely worth it. I love it.
