I'm curious how this all will go! I'm sure it will go smoothly but who knows, it's the first time something like this has been done at this scale!

I guess if it gets to be Saturday and I still haven’t found the promo bottles I’ll just buy the generic and hope for the best! This would be less stressful if I still drank soda. When I was younger I would crush three dr peppers without a thought of how much sugar I was ingesting lmao

What a weird statement.

I wouldn't doubt it! Everyone is going to be waiting for that moment they can message in.
I was going to wait til midnight to buy the Dr Peppers in case they wanted to receipt proof after we text the UPC codes. But I also don't want to miss out because I waited until midnight PST. I'm not sure now.
Now y'all have me wondering what to do![]()
I'm West Coast, too - text at 9pm, then buy at 12a? Everything at 12a? The next day? Ahhhh!

Ahhh I don't know! I had a plan but now I'm not sure anymore. Watch, now I'll end up with about 9 Dr. Peppers because I don't know what to do

First issue is that your shopping at Wawa. Sheetz probably has them out already.![]()
I have been drinking diet Dr. Pepper recently, so I don’t get the sugar but I still get all the lovely chemicals.

You should check and see if the UPC barcode differs between that label and regular labels.
Good thinking!! Heres a basic one to compare with

So! Looking back at the post that RayPunz made with the photos of the special label it appears to be the same UPC code! I can't see the first couple digits, but I don't think it would have changed. So we probably don't need to have the special Dr Pepper labels (granted, I also don't think it said "specially marked Dr Pepper" anywhere either) and the advertising on the poster with Lil Sweet shows just generic Dr Pepper bottles. So this is positive!

It does seem weird out of contextthere was someone before that said about fanatics running into each other since we'll all be out getting Dr Pepper. I'm not a weirdo, I swear!

I live in Oklahoma now and people here don’t know how lucky we were in PA to have Sheetz and Wawa. Nothing here truly compares. I honestly think Getgo Kitchen is better than both Sheetz and Wawa.

This is exactly right. They aren't going to change UPC's just for a giveaway promotion. They are called "universal product codes" for a reason.![]()
Now if they were to insert some kind of special code in the cap that you need to text in, that would make more sense. But if all they require is proof of purchase and the upc code, which has been stated, no need to hunt for a special bottle.

Never heard of Getgo Kitchen. I wonder how far the closest one to me is! Now I’m gonna have to do some sleuthing!

I think this is the same route I am going. I gave up soda 10 years ago and we hardly ever have any in the house. The kids are allowed soda every once in a while, but I don't need them drinking three 20 ounce bottles. Haha. Dr. Pepper was my drink of choice and I remember the days it was hard to find outside of Texas.

Yes! Thanks for figuring this out! Seeing that I haven’t been able to find the Lil Sweet bottles this is especially promising news for me and probably many others. Now I just have to go buy some (I’ve been holding out for the lil sweet labels)! Hopefully the wait for them to actually ship isn’t too long lmao

I never found it hard to find in California. I grew up on Dr. Pepper and Peanuts in Texas in the 70s and 80s. Moved to California in late 80s and Dr. Pepper was everywhere, heck even had Big Red (and still do) but much harder to find.

I guess it's more a matter of how long it takes us to overload them. 12:01am? Also just realized being on the west coast, I may not even get a chance to text in before the east coast kills the system
