depends on the case ratio, but there's usually a layout posted pretty soon after a series hits stores. now the layout isn't always correct mind you as there can be different case packs but if you find a fresh case of 12 it's always nice to have a layout to fall back on.

So here’s a tip. If you buy a mini jewelry scale a pocket size one. You can use that to weigh the boxes. You can google search or go to reddit to find the weight of each mystery mini. So now all you have to do is weigh the box and you will know what’s in it without opening. I know this is cheating but when money is tight and you really want something you’ll find a way to get it. I don’t collect minis but I know plenty of people that do this.

But yeah - looking up weights, getting a small scale, and weighing in store might also be above my pay grade...but great tip!
