They're a world-known dance crew. They became popular after their win of Season 1's America's Best Dance Crew on MTV back in the early 2000's. They have a show in Las Vegas meow too

Super excited! Gotta add to the Filipino/Fil Am subsection of our collection and representing San Diego, too. Maybe Funko could bring them out for Fundays in the future?
I had to do a Throwback Thursday post on Twitter about when we did a meet and greet with them when they started doing their Vegas show in 2010.

Ooo that was a great one. I like how they incorporated a lot of MJ’s iconic moves but still sticking to their style.

I think my fave of their’s is the one that had the mix of funky town, it just begun, and push it ;P then they ended it with that hella long head spin!!! So good!!!

Only thing I can think of is PYT

Also when I saw the release of these I thought to myself "omg are they going to make ALL of them? WAIT WHATS THE POINT THEY ARE ALWAYS WEARING THE EXACT SAME THING." Then I saw they just had the 1 lol

(plus chase of course)

Definitely Michael Jackson's PYT and the evolution of street dance that started out with "Funkytown" during that 1st season for America's Best Dance Crew.
Season 1 of ABDC was airing 4-6 months before Caz and I got together. At the time, I was living with 4 other women when we were in college. Caz was a mutual friend with all of us & lived about 5-7 min away. So he'd come over on a few Thursday nights and some of us would watch those episodes together. That's where the sentimentality lies.

It's been fun seeing them have so much success since ABDC. Last spring, they signed a 4-year extension for their show at MGM in Vegas; to think it was gonna be just a short run when they first started performing there 12 years ago.

I love this dance crew, but I have no room in the collection for these pops. I also have to make sure I conserve budget for Disney and Freddy pops. I would love to see them at fundays though as a performance. I would be so stoked to see them live.

I can’t take credit for the idea but I’m so down for them to be at Fundays. But with them signing a 4-year extension last year to keeping performing in Vegas, not sure if it’ll happen anytime soon. Nothing wrong with hoping though.

My OCD is ordering 6. I'm okee without the chase LOL

But...doing this made me start looking up other POPs that should have a group of the same ones...so I started looking at the possibility of getting 8 more Nazgul from LOTR since there are 9 of them -__-

Ooooo thanks for sharing that story. I think that was around the time Caz lived with my buddy Jerome? :P Are you guys gonna order multiples too to have the whole crew? :P

I agree with you with their success. I hope to see them in Vegas some day, but glad I've been lucky to have watched them do some of their routines during the ABDC tour

You're welcome! That was before Jerome lived with Caz but we were all def hanging out often back then. I think Caz ordered a case. Assuming there's a chase in the bundle, maybe I'll just pretend the chase is Kid Rainen, which I wish would've been in a headspin pose. lol

I forgot to mention it before -- it's also been awesome to see Phil Tayag's success post-Jabbawockeez as Bruno Mars's choreographer. He was in the Super Bowl 50 halftime show.

Haha, when we did a meet-and-greet with them after their show they signed with their own names.
